He had also said if Laughton was going to make the team this year it would be at Center and not wing. People say a lot just to get the media gone for the day..... - youarewrong
Laughton can play both spots, although his primary spot with Oshawa is center & on power plays he is on the right point. |

Morin is w/ Dillon Fournier a Blackhawks pick, seems they are the shutdown pair for the QMJHL in this game. |

Lol, why nervous? Afraid they'll trade him?
Btw, he won't sign now... I'm sure he'd rather be able to finish the year w/ Union. |

Bobrovsky, although the subsequent trade for Mason has made that one moot.
My big issue with the Flyers, under Holmgren, is the willingness to change the plan at the drop of a hat. They were built around Carter and Richards, got to a SCF, had a set back and tore it down. - Jsaquella

My two cents are that if Holmgren is going to ante up to get Byfuglien (Spelling?) he might as well pay a little more and go after someone like Yandle instead. Personally I am really impressed by him but I think Pheonix, probably just like Winnipeg with Buff, would want the world for him |

I wish Morin could get PP time. - PhillySportsGuy
Ryan Jankowski the head scout for Canada during the intermission specifically mentioned Morin for his PK role. If he has a shot a the national team might be part of why he could make it.
He's played some of the 2nd unit power play |

I was just about to talk about Morin's ability to handle the rush and he just got beat like a drum off the rush for a goal. |

Well Morin just got beat big time by Vladimir Tkachev that resulted in the game tying goal |

It will depend on the cost, not matter who they go after. A better strategy might be to acquire a guy like Rundblad or Gardiner, who is either stuck behind another player or who has not made a big mark in the NHL yet.

He did look good. He always seems to look calm. Russians were a different team at 4v4. Much more comfortable with the open ice. |

It was also a good move made on him, shows he's got plenty of development in front of him. |

I'd probably agree with it (especially since I don't tune in for all his games), but I have watched him play some good games. He's got a ways to go in my mind. |

It looks like he hasn't done much in terms of offensive development.
Mantha has 24 goals in 23 games. Does Detroit ever miss? |
