hmm. is he any good at least?
- scotch_tape

Hudon will play for Team Canada Jr...he's pretty good but again, he's small....like 2/3 of the Habs prospects.

i have no problem with the team drafting guys like that. does anyone have a problem with Gallagher? there's nothing wrong with having small guys. especially in Montreal, because the Habs will never build a rough and tumble team like Boston or even St. Louis. the problem is with small guys like Desharnais and Briere because if these small guys can't produce, they're just wasting roster space.
- scotch_tape

So you are telling us that we will never have a cup contending team...

Oh I know, from everything i've seen or read, Hudon looks like a solid prospect for the Habs.

It's a good pick for sure.

I just hope that if he does play for the Habs one day, that he's actually our midget and not one of our midgetS.

You think he can grow to 6'1" and gain 40 lbs?

I sure hope so.

not after seasons of 71 and 91 pts, he's struggling so far this year, with 17 points in 24 games

got traded from Kamloops to Kootenay a couple of weeks ago

Well he's had 7 points in his last 5 games. Hopefully he'll turn his season around.

what has St. Louis ever won? LA, Boston and Anaheim were big, tough teams.
look at teams like Detroit, Pittsburgh, Chicago (x 2), Carolina. all recent Cup winners who didn't build that way.

yeah, Kamloops were looking at making it far last season, seems they lost a lot of their top players for this season and started a rebuild process.

So all we need are two superduperstars, 1 or 2 super star defensemen, a solid cast of supporting players and grit...great...

Chi is a tough team.

Agreed about the rest.

hockey as change since the 04 lockout... seems like the league is getting tougher and finesse players are having a harder time ... playing finesse.

Not saying we should be like the Leafs... you know very tough and skilled and on the verge of winning 5 cups in a row... but when I look at teams like St-Louis and SJ and the Kings ( and other teams that are big and that can play hockey) I... I wish we could have a team with that type of toughness.

Small guys that play big are great, small guys that play small are useless, as you've eluded to with exhibit DD and DB.

some contractor just called for directions to my house.

every time I said a gauche he'd confirm with "ok a draitte"

every time I said a droite he'd confirm with "ok la une gauche?"

should work out well.

If he's not already hired, i'd do it before he ends up somewhere else and they hire him first.

Clearly a pro.

i'm not talking about "tough" though. any Cup contender has to be tough. i'm talking about the construction of the team. they're tough but not overly physical.

i know, shocking that you need great players to win a Stanley Cup and that guys like Josh Gorges and Daniel Briere aren't enough to get it done.
