Why isn't Galchenyuk playing 18-20 minutes a night at centre?

Well, if the idea is slow progression, that's fine. The problem is that there's been no progression from last year just to please the veteran core of this team. Either play him 20 minutes a night on the wing. Or leave him at 14 and switch him to center. |

The only guy up front they have coming up is McCarron, and so far he looks like a guy who's trying to convince himself he has grit.
There is also Connor Crisp, but I doubt he makes it. |

Crisp would be 4th line...
McCarron I think will eventually play anywhere in the top 9...
A draft is usually a crap shoot...a few guys make it from every draft...so just draft bigger players, and some of those bigger players will eventually end up making it...if you only have 1 big player per draft and his odds of making it are 15%...well, that's not as good as having 3 or 4 big players with each a 15% chance of making it...
EDIT: yes, I know it's not that simple...and there are exceptions...but still...you're not getting a 6'2" power forward by drafting midgets all the time.
