Overpay to fill a need, character and intangibles, toughness on the wing (higher up the lineup), if Clarkson isnt scoring he can do other things to help the team...if the cap is going up like its projected the cap hit wont be so bad..not like hes Leino or Ruttu, Malone. At this point his signing looks like a steal compared to Weiss..

But he plays as the shutdown center against other teams top lines, (+10 and 54.8% on the draw). He makes a lot of money but I am happy to give him 6.6 this season for what he is bringing to the table under Roys system
