Who is arguing ? I am having fun here . I did not go to a Leaf thread looking for them . I would be more than happy to discus everything Sabres. They came over here as it seems their life is not fulfilled by having a team that is relevant for once . To fulfill themselves it seems they have to venture in here and tell us our team is not at this time . I accept that as does any knowledgeable Sabre fan does.

As they say 'Timing is everything' Pittsburgh and Chicago tanked at the right time. It worked for Pittsburgh and Chicago not only because they drafted Crosby/Malkin and Toews/Kane in successive years but their GM's went out and either drafted, traded for or signed FA's as a supportive cast.

Florida drafted Huberdeau/Barkov/Gudbranson all top 3 picks and now it's up to Tallon to build around them. The house cleaning has started. I would give them two years and they will be competing as long as Tallon and ownership are committed to winning.

Tampa is proof that drafting in the top 3 works Stamkos/Hedman/Drouin. They lead the Eastern Conference at this point.

Edmonton has ignored defense and goal tending until they took Nurse this year. A trade for a goal tender and drafting a stud defenseman and a FA signing or two and this team will be playoff bound.

Rebuilding takes time and the one thing Buffalo has is an owner who will spare no expenses and finally smartened up and made the necessary front office changes that should have been made after the season ended when he bought the team.
