What about this? Looked like Hendricks tapped out in the 1st and GSP let him out, but it was missed?

Most of the fanbase is still digging out from the blizzard. Man has Red Deer gotten a lot of snow already. I think I may buy a sled this winter. |

much like how many of us were mistaken about gagner, bryz aint gonna make much of a difference when he joins the squad. I really hope none of us are thinking he's going to pull us out of this
hopefully he pushed dubs abit to be better, and maybe he`ll even steal a few games. but most likely he`ll also get lit a few times without any meaningful moves made to help our defence in front of him.
it wasn't a bad signing by any means, but we`ve seen what the cheap and low risk acquisitions have generally done for us in the past.

Sutton was a beauty minus his elbow I actually think they could use a guy like him. But Foster and Barker |

he took a fukload of penalties cause his mobility was pretty much non existent.
big and tough and he wasn't the worst, but he didn't really provide what we hoped he would on a regular enough basis. but yes, the injuries didn't help |

I remember when he would occasionally become Datsyuk and dangle the opposition in the offensive zone |

Here's something I don't get:
We've had Stoll, Belanger, Horcoff, Smithson, and now Gordon on our team as veteran centremen to learn from.
Also, with a team that boasts Marchand, Reasoner as wily faceoff alum, and a management team that obviously not opposed to bringing in former players to assist, and Buchberger as ass. coach, we've got player resources like crazy.
HOW DO NUGE AND GAGNER SUCK SO MUCH IN THE DOT? |

Backlund is not that strong and he punked them both (3-1 against Gags, 2-1 against Nuge)
Stajan, often a 50+% guy lost the battle to Nuge (5-4) and Gagner hung with him (1-0)
Monahan is great at faceoffs but has little NHL FO success. He creamed them both (5-1 against Nuge, 2-1 against Gagner).
There's a maddening level of inconsistency here. |

Even the best like Gordon/Vermette/Thornton/Datsyuk/Bergeron get punked. Sometimes it has to do with the size of the guy, sometimes it's harder facing opposite handed people. But ya, the general malaise of Gagner and the Nuge on the dot is slightly maddening. |

You can give both a bit of slack due to injuries and having to make adjustments, but I still don't see either being dominate on the draw. RNH at least has smarts defensively so I'm not worried. |

The funny thing is that Sam Gagner had quite the same pedigree of two-way smarts, if not the skating ability that Nuge has. He was never going to be a two-way centre like Nuge may be, but you see flashes of the player that Gagner could be and its frustrating to realize he may never get there. |

he's just really not all that talented.
hard worker and has some smarts, but mediocre skater, average hands, mediocre defensively and small on an already small top 6.
being the least talented out of that group doesn't help either.
mact was cornered this summer with no other options when he signed him.
I think you give him the right linemates and he could be a pereniall 60 point guy, but I think that ship has sorta sailed here. I don't mean the points, just the right mixture of players.
the wingers he has are the ones that makes sense to keep.
I cross my fingers everyday that mact deals him before the ntc kicks in or we're stuck with him. this mixture of forwards is just too small and cant get it done |
