Hey now, Pegs hasn't done much wrong. The onus is on Darcy for poopty free agents, and he just got canned by him. 16 years of futility by Darcy and Ruff are gone only a couple of years into Pegula's tenure. That's one big step IMO.

I still like Ruff. If we were looking for a coach when he was fired, I would've jumped all over him.

He always made some pretty mediocre Sabres teams competitive. Unfortunately, he just outlived his shelf life. I'm actually surprised he made it that long. Most coaches, even great ones, don't last more than 6 years or so.
