hey guys how has clarkson been working for you? doesn't look like he's put up any offense really, which is what i expected from watching him his whole career, but do you still have expectations that he could score 20+ consistently over the course of the deal?

still a hell of a hockey player and tough as nails.

What he has brought to the table so far could be had for 650K a year, so, not great.

he definitely has them, and he will score 10-15 goals a year for you probably. i just remember seeing some leafs fans argue he's gonna put up even 30 goals and i thought it was a little ridiculous. last year in NJ, he scored like 14 goals in the first 20 games or something and then score 3 the final 30 games which is a lot more normal for him based on his entire career. he has a nasty toe drag that he likes to use twice a year too.

If his PP time stays down (it's been up last few games because of injury), I doubt he cracks 15.

He's overpaid, but he fills a role we desperately needed filled (someone who can drive the net and play physical in our top 6), so what are you going to do?

I liken it to buying water at an outdoor concert: yeah, it's 8 bucks and that would normally get you a couple of cases of water, but what are you going to do? It's (frank)ing hot out.

Meh. At least it's a center. Taking Staubitz is a weird one though, we already have two enforcers who won't fight.

Orr And Mclearen Don't Have To Fight Every Game. Sad Thing Is Last Game Orr Mclearen And Ashton Line Played Just As Good A Most Last Night. Although I Think Clarkson Played Very Good And Just Needs TO Get His First Then He'll Just Keep Going.

With Staubitz, He Is 29 Years Old, Enforcer, And Can Also Play A Little More Than Orr. One Reason I Think They Took Him Is Because He And Carlyle Spent Many Years Together In Anaheim. Still I Don't Get That For Carlyle Because They Already Have Many People Like Him, And I Think Ahead Of Him In The Depth Cart Like Bodie, Devane, Ashton, And Broll.

No, he really is. I know that's hard to imagine having players who actually grew up liking your team...

Lighten up gravy.

I think it's funny that leaf fans put so much importance on what team a player's Dad once supported.

Leaf fans lose their marbles if there is photographic evidence of a player wearing a leafs jersey he got on his 6th birthday.

Bozak is likely 10 days away and Bolland's status unknown for another 3 weeks. No longterm update until he gets to weight-bearing phase.

It could be Dec before we see Bozak again..

- Fruitcakenipple

I heard he is still burying pucks in open nets, so it's going to take him a couple of weeks for him to get back to his old ways.

He'll get back some of his scoring touch bearing in mind he's just over 10 games into this season. If Kadri can feed Kulemin sauce-passes then he'll have no issues gifting the same to DC.
