Pacioretty has little to no flair or drive this season. Not sure what to make of him. He seems lost or disinterested on most nights. I for one am not ready to throw in the towel but his play thus far has been pretty mediocre.

I hate how he skates around with one hand on his stick waving it around. He needs to use his body to pressure the play not a one handed nancy wave.

As for his offensive game he will find it. He has a wicked release and its only a matter of time before he buries his chances.

Apparently, Edmonton and Nashville have been talking trade in a deal that looks a little like, Weber for Gagner, Nurse, 2014 1st rounder, plus a prospect. Now I know it's just a rumour and that honestly I'd be asking for more than that if I were Nashville, but can't we match this offer and allow Nashville to trade their stud out of conference?

Eller or Plekanec, Beaulieu, 2014 1st rounder and then let them choose any prospect they want not named McCarron?

When you're a bubble team these games mean a lot, no matter how early in the season it is.

Bourque only shows up once out of every 3 games. you look at Bourque... big guy who can fly and skilled enough to pop 20-25 goals. there's a reason he went undrafted even with all that size and skill.

Gionta takes a lot of poop from fans but he plays way more physical than guys who are half a foot taller than him.

If Bourque showed up as often as Gionta, he'd a been a first round pick. You get what you pay for... As a third liner, he rarely costs the team defensively and when he has the games where he's awake, he stands out. As for Gionta, he'd be a good re-sign if there weren't at least 3 cheaper versions of him in the Montreal organisation already (Gallagher, Bournival, Andrighetto maybe...)

That Oilers pick will be in the lottery regardless of the trade. If Weber goes to MTL i'm pretty sure they're a playoff team.
