What is with the pitbull fad? Are people trying to be intimidating? Theres no arguing that they are the stupidest dogs you could buy, no offense... And they become way to protective of their owner. I guess im just a lab/retriever guy

Well except for the fact that he's not a pit bull . Also pit bull are one of the best family dogs you can own. The reason they get such a bad rap is cause people get them and train them to become aggressive and/or fight because of their high tolerance for pain. Much like bulldog breeds they have a high pain threshold and they won't quit until the physically can't.

Well except for the fact that he's not a pit bull . Also pit bull are one of the best family dogs you can own. The reason they get such a bad rap is cause people get them and train them to become aggressive and/or fight because of their high tolerance for pain.

Just a few days ago a pit bull bit an old lady's arm off! they are hard to train because they are so stupid. Maybe your dog is different but from what im reading about them they are over protective too.. Dont deny that you think they are intimidating.

My boy couldn't intimidate a fly in submission. I purposely left his ear full to make sure he didn't look overly scary. Yes he's a big dog and can look scary but he's a suck for all people. I don't need to buy a dog to look intimidating I got that poop covered on my own . Also if you look up they are actually going away from breed discrimatory banning, and going to a more overall base. Hence the ban the deed not the breed. Yes pitbull can be aggressive but that is where the human is supposed to teach the dog, don't blame the dog because the owner is too lazy to do his job. I can guarantee you that the dogs being hurt start the fight with the pitbull because people seem to think if they have a small dog that they don't need to train them and let them do whatever. Well in the animal world size means nothing so if a small dog or a big dog jump on you it means the exact same thing.

I grew up with Great Danes and so many people were intimidated by them, but they were the biggest sucks ever lol... unless you sick it on your neighbours cat. Some breeds are just not meant to be house pets. I don't think its a coincidence that the dog of choice for gangbangers are pit bulls. They think they are bad-ass or whatever.. MY favorite dog i've had was a golden retriever. She was the smartest dog ive ever seen, although a little protective but she knew when to be and when not to be.
