They (wingers & defencemen) certainly do manipulate the draw. How many times do centre's get kicked out of the draw because the winger is cheating ? Often.
And why do wingers cheat ?

Because Good face off men even when traded to other teams keep their high Win rate while some center iceman playing with those same wingers have a low FW%

Decent trade. Quite possibly an inconsequential trade for both teams, but the Leafs need centres and Blacker's down on the D depth chart so why not fire it up and see what happens.

And furthermore, why do coaches put out center men just to take the draw and then get off the ice? If it only has to do with the wingers. who cares?

And yes. I did play hockey. Jr.A actually for the Bowmanville Eagles and then traded to the Oshawa Legionnaires. I played for 4 years. I was a center man. Who lost a lot of draws.

Indeed, horrid injury history, not to mention the reoccurring rat related performances and outbursts. Will surely be missed. Perhaps he will resign in T.O next year for another 20 or so games. Hopefully Nonis takes the necessary steps of signing him to a 7 year contract.
