He better suck in ALL of his rebounds, and win, cause Bernier is looking pretty damn good IMHO.
- LakesideBlues

What about Bernier's rebound that lead to a goal last night?

when was the last time Buffalo won a cup...oh yeah never..but I guess they almost won that time Brett Hull had his toe in the crease
- GardinerExpress

Lets look at the sabres and leafs franchises shall we? These are all facts.

Teams in the league the last time the Leafs won the cup: 6

Since the Sabres first joined the league, number of playoff appearances for the
Leafs: 26. Sabres: 29

Number of Series Wins: Leafs: 19 Sabres: 21

Number of Stanley Cup Finals appearances: Leafs:0 Sabres: 2

Head to head playoff wins: Leafs: 0 Sabres: 1

At least when Bruins or Canadiens fans troll on us, they have a leg to stand on.

That's true, I just removed my .45 from my teeth. Thank you for that.

But... imagine the generous amount of homer-style slathering there would be. Each goal would be treated like it was the one that won us our first Stanley Cup. Each hit on a Sabres player would be uber dirty and worthy of a 75 game suspension. Plus there would probably be the sound of a male orgasm everytime Grigorenko scored a goal.

- TSchiefer

It would be quite an ungodly sound.

This is how I picture him

Reimer has been as good as Bernier so far this season.

Don't get defensive... Reimer is a great goalie... and Bernier is guilty of the odd gift rebound too... as we witnessed last night...

There problem here is that our history and accomplishments don't start when the Sabres entered the league, and instead of being grateful to the teams who started and established this league, you wish to minimize the history of every team because it isn't in accordance to the standards and relevance to the Sabres. It doesn't work that way. While you may wish to exclude parts of our teams history, forgive us for not doing the same.

I'm all for honoring teams that started the league but when a fan base thinks their poop doesn't stink because they won all of their cups with under 10 teams in the league I will be the one pointing out their poop smells like poop. I've said it before and I will say it again, if you were to throw the Florida Panthers in a 6 team league and they would be able to win a couple cups here and there.

The #NHLDucks have acquired defenseman Jesse Blacker and two 2014 draft picks from Toronto in exchange for Peter Holland and Brad Staubitz.

Who cares. They won those cups and that's all that counts. The problem here is that youe fan base thinks they can dishonour or discredit another teams accomplishments because it doesn't meet their standards, but fail to concede it met the NHLs standards and that those cup wins are engraved on the holiest of sports trophies. Something your fan base is bitter about, and sadly, your poop does stink and it's pathetic you keep coming around here and handing out free sniffs and whiffs of that foul odour.

What you're doing here is no different than me telling you that anything that happened in Sabres history before the Columbus BJ's joined the league isn't relevant and doesn't count. Kinda of goofy, stupid, absurd and illogical, right?

What you fail to realise is that the Leafs dont have a cup here or there, they have the 2nd most cups in league history.

you being marginally better than a rebuilding/ blown up team doesn't take away the fact that your team hasn't made the Cup finals since 67.

Leafs give up Blacker and two 2014 picks for Peter Holland and Brad Staubitz. Looking for some forward depth here - Holland can play centre.
