Im not going to argue this with you. I completely disagree and find this to be one of the rare instances where I would justify taking an extra 2minutes to send a message and regulate liberties taken on your smallest and most skilled forward. Assuming, of course, that it actually would have led to a PP to begin with.

OK, fair enough, I agree that if Scott did get a hold of Kessel then put Scott's head on a stake. In this case I hope its significantly more than a 2 minute minor.

Disagree.

At least he plays with an edge. Can't believe we sat Rielly so we could watch Ranger's display of magic on ice. (Frank)ing politics. $
Ranger needs to watch from the pressbox for a few games ffs.

Why can't we just look at their record period? Im sure if you took every other teams best part of the season out of the mix they wouldn't look so great either. Not fair to break down a teams season and judge them on the bad only. Do we lose last night if we have Bolland, Bozak and Kadri? I really don't think so. Same as in Minny where we virtually didn't have all 3 either.

Center position is an important position, and to be weaken to that extreme is going to effect a teams performace. Especially when you take a solid ppg winger and render him useless trying desperately to fill holes.

fair enough... but I am considering their most recent stretch. Since the hot start, they are not a playoff team. I think your point would be different if I randomly removed all their wins from the middle of some segment of the season.

It was a good start and part of the season, and right now they're sitting in the playoffs. I just don't see a point in looking at it any other way. Especially when they were missing 3 top centers in their most recent games, that would cripple any team that isn't elite like Pitts and Chi.

One could easily say the Leafs would be a top team in the league if you ignored their past 5 games, just like they would be out of the playoffs if you ignored their first 4 games. Kinda goes both ways, depending on what your agenda is.

You get in the playoffs based on your play over all 82 games. Not just games 5-19 or games 15-45 etc etc. That's just my opinion and I respect yours. I do agree that the recent lack of goals is concerning, but I temper the worry with the knowledge that a couple of those games the team was in a state of chaos.

Will be very interesting seeing as how Seidenberg plays on Boston.

It is like the league has decided that Boston should be free to do whatever they want on the ice to create some fan-appealing reputation thing.

No word yet.

He didn't return to the play, and I've yet to see any comment about it via the twitters...

So, I wonder if the NHL's rotating door of justice will give Seidenberg a few games rest???

Yeah right, I can see Shannaban's excuse now:

I'm Brendan Shannahan, head of the department of Player Safety.

Friday night in Ottawa, some crazy Ottawa fans think a Boston player made an illegal elbow to the head of an Ottawa player. However, the onus is on the team opposing Boston to not be a bunch of feminine reproductive organs and just suck it up. To quote the great warrior poet, Will Smith; "Here's what you think you saw, you did not see."

To summarize:

Dennis Seidenberg is one of the chosen ones.

No Boston Bruins player shall be disciplined for illegal hits to head.

Bring it up again and I'll find a reason to suspend an Ottawa player. Possibly a Toronto player too... due to proximity and them not being Boston.
