somehow I think you've got that backwards? - LeftCoaster
Was a reference to Chicago managing to acquire Versteeg at only half his salary... |

Buying him out is a non-starter with the Aquilini group, right or wrong, proceed under the assumption that it's not going to happen.....EVER! - LeftCoaster
This.
Don't ya think if the Canucks were buying him out they'd have done it last year and retained Schneider. He's here until he retires or gets traded. |

Yeah, but I feel its more about the teams inability to score more than 1 goal a game. If Santorelli, Burrows, Henrik or Higgins scores on their glorious chances, we win that game.
Can't be a 1 goal per game team, and expect to win. - moondawg
Right on, I actually blame Henrik's back penalty for the loss. He should know better and it was a lazy penalty. |

So, interestingly enough, Lu's contract stipulates that after the final game of the 2013/14 season, he can provide the Canucks with a list of 5 teams to trade him to. If the Canucks fail to trade him, they lose the right to request from him a list of teams to trade him to after the 2017/18 season. |

Guarantee I know which teams are on his list: Florida, Tampa Bay, Florida, Florida, did I say Florida? |

I think he's slowly accepted the fact that he's a Canuck for the life of his hockey career. He signed the contract too, two way street. |

So, who are his 5 teams? My guess is
TB, FLA, Habs, Leafs and this is a tough one, but I'll guess Dallas. |

Yeah, just that if he doesn't provide a list then it becomes a team option after 2017/18 season. If he does provide the list and isn't traded, the team loses the option. Its a no lose for Lu, and will likely become a topic for the media near the end of the year, and therefore a distraction. |

I watched Booth every time he was on the ice, he can't skate at an NHL level. It's not even close, the guy is slower than Alberts. |

Golfing since (Torts Pressers),
Do you mind setting your roster at least once this week?
Pretty difficult to keep a pool competitive when managers are lettin others run away with matchups. |

Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Game Review: One That Got Away
A generally strong effort by the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night was spoiled as the San Jose Sharks came from behind to win 2-1 in overtime at Rogers Arena. - Carol Schram

Someone asked Tortarella in the post game last night if this team had enough offence, his answer was a fast and furious yes... |

No wonder I often find myself flipping channels during games & eventually forget the game's even on if something random manages to entertain me for more than 5 seconds...

I was saying this more or less last night myself. His legs look sluggish. Even a useless Booth used to be able to skate...now he's less than useless. Negative zero.
