I don't think so. Unpopular I'm sure, but I'll take Jimmy "Avoid the Clap" Dugan and A League of Their Own over it.

Is Rocky the greatest Sports movie of all time?

Tough competition with the Natural, Field of Dreams, Cobb... and the mighty ducks....

Slapshot, everything else pales in comparison.

Just to entertain myself
B.Schenn, L.Schenn, Laughton for Buf and Little.
Simmonds, Coburn for Campbell, Upshall, And Fla 2nd. FLA retianing 3 mill in cap it.

Wait! Major League wasn't the best sports movie ever!?!

- FlyersGrace

Not a chance. I actually like Major League II more because Parkman's such a stud.

Yup. I'm a big Stallone fan. I have probably seen every movie he's been in.

Lock Up is another classic. I highly recommend it. It was filmed it Rahway prison.

Well, this certainly explains a lot.

Yeah me either. Without Danny B to get him going I doubt we get the production from him and that's only IF he can stay healthy which he hasn't been. I think Buffalo would eat some of his contract in a heartbeat to lose him.
Never a good sign.

- FlyersGrace

I dont know... If Buffalo eats half the salary, which would make his cap hit to us 2.25 million... I think he is worth 2.25 million playing with maybe Lecavalier....

I have to say, I really like the way the team is playing. Suprised there are rumors flying around before the Winipeg game tonight regarding Buff. Dispite beating some teams and looking better, I would still like to make a move. You all know I'm Crazy about Yakupov, so I will leave that one out.

But Buff would be a Major need.
From Florida:
Kulikov would be a great get.
Campbell would be nice too if they will eat some Cap hit.
Same with Fleischmann and Upshall. Again if they take some cap back.

From Buffalo:
Do you think you can get Buffalo to give up Lieno for like a 2nd and have them retain part of his cap hit. I guess they could buy him out, but why pay him?
Would take Myers or Ehrhoff too.

To Philly... Campbell, Upshall. Florida retains 1M from Campbell and 1.75 on Upshall.
Florida gets Simmonds.

or

To Philly.. Myers, Lieno and Buffalo retains 1.5 million on Lieno contract
To Buffalo... Simmonds.

Then you can move Meszaros or Coburn for more cap space and Blueline space.

It appears our good friend Zherdev isn't doing so well:

•Dmitry Chesnokov: Looking like Nikolai Zherdev will be ending his relationship with his third KHL team since the end of last season.

Agreed on the Potential Trap game. Ottawa showed that we could dominate .500 teams. Pittsburgh showed that we can grind out against some of the best in the NHL. This is going to show if we can keep things together after a big win, and not simply play off of emotion. Go Flyers!

Is the Leino stuff a joke? I don't get it.

He has three more years left after this one at $4.5 million and is always injured. Why on earth would the Flyers possibly want him, even at reduced cost?

When you are 7-10-1 there is no such thing as a trap game.

Flyers are heading in the right direction, the play is greatly improved but they can't afford to overlook any team.

Honestly I think a big part of how this game will go depends on which Pavalec shows up tonight. I don't think there is a more inconsistent starting goalie in the NHL right now. Spectacular some nights and just horrid on other nights.
