Why not ask them how the Weiss instead of Filppula worked for them. We play them in a few weeks, might as well stir it up now.maybe even visit the Sens and ask how the Bishop trade looks now?

Good win, was fun in the arena last night!

I felt that we took the Montreal level of play, used the cookie-cutter, and applied the same style vs. ANA.

That means we have 2 games now of consistent effort...

I'm liking it.....Almost to 20 games....

He is being used as a fourth line energy guy, which isn't his style. I don't think there coach likes him very much. I wouldn't be suprized if he went UFA this season.

To me it seems like they are playing more of a team game right now. INstead of always looking for Stamkos for the one timer (which is never bad), they cycle the puck better. Thats what they were missing last year. When Stamkos was doubled team, they didnt know what to do. Maybe playing without Stamkos will give the team more confidence in itself, and when Stammer comes back, if we're still in the playoff picture, watch out.

if we return back home with 2+ wins on our road trip to cali I am going to stop being so cautious and worried and begin to enjoy this success. im sick of "waiting til the 10 game mark, or waiting until we face a better team because that wont work against them, or wait until the 20 game mark" everyone is waiting for the wheels to fall off and their NOT. so , if you don't mind...after this road trip (if we have success) im done waiting because we always seem to have something to wait for until we start getting too excited, and every time weve hit that something weve come out on top

if we go over .500 against phoenix, LA, Anaheim, and san jose, that is a good enough measuring stick to me and ill be happy considering weve already had measuring sticks to the max in boston Chicago LA Minnesota st Louis and Anaheim, and usually won ...no more waiting

PS. IN THE SUPER 16 WE HAVE A 7-3 RECORD AGAINST TEAMS HIGHER THAN US, THE REST WE HAVENT PLAYED YET.... TAKE OUT BOSTON THATS 7-0

"Fil is not a consistant 40 point player" how many times did we hear that in the offseason or "have fun with his inconsistency"

lets see here, sitting at almost a point per game, stepping up for his team being a leader even though its his first year cause he knows how young we are and we need leadership, killing penalites, playing PP, controlling the play every time hes on the ice, playing amazing defense..

nobody is complaining about his 5M per year anymore, and im glad we have him for 4 more after this! great job by yzerman,
