problem is bruce

players dont know what a proper hit is anymore.

its been so up down back and fourth now since he took over, nobody knows what illegal or legal when hitting.

guys are turning (canucks) so they are in a vulnerable position, and will take the hit JUST to garnish the 2 min penalty.

the same guys get away with headshots time after time. chara is one who stands out.

- big_dion

ahhh.. you guys still think its about the game.

i see.

its a business... the game itself is secondary to making money

thats why there are so many fans of the CHL and not the NHL... its purer

i am starting to see the same divide that football has in the states.. where college fans and pro fans are two entirely different groups

Just looking at the sabres roster..Matt Moulson, with his 2 goals, is 2nd in sabres scoring. Kessel, JVR, Lupul and Bolland are scoring goals at a higher rate than the entire sabres team combined...we have to come away with 4 points this weekend, hopefully a pair of shutty's as well!
- GardinerExpress

Moulson has 8 goals. And Hodgson has 7. What are you talking about. But hey maybe Orr... I mean Gardiner finally will pot one tonight

agree that his hits were not huge. But he sure did agitate real well, and usually not in a dirty way. Got lots of players ticked off at him and off their game. No one has really done that so far this year for the Leafs.

where i do agree with you on this, i still think that the players as a whole are having a hard time finding the line of which is considered a dirty hit, and whats not.

hit the person in the head its ok, as long as it wasnt the principal contact...but yet, half the time thats still a suspension, the other half its not, pending on the player and team.

kronwall has like 3-4 hits a year, AT LEAST that are 100% suspendable hits, yet, NEVER gets suspended...why? cause he plays on detroit, where shanny played for 10 years.

preferencial treatment exists, those who dont believe it, are only kidding themselves.

not as much as you would lol

Dudley is the guy you need to snag.. he's a builder.. which is precisely what for what your team needs right now

- Dozzer

Agreed, and based on when Lafontaine mentioned a possible GM that was part of building two Cup Winning teams, I think he was referring to Dudley.

Oh god.... I just watched the Shanahan video for the suspension. What a (frank)ing tool Shanahan is.

If Regier had stayed there is no way Moulson would have wanted to stay. But LaFontaine has influence, he may be able to convince Moulson to stick around. I like him, I hope he does stick around. His output is nearly the same as Vanek's and costs less.

Hell, LaFontaine might even be able to convince Miller to stay but I'm totally indifferent on whether he stays or goes at this point.

I wish we would resign him. He's cheaper than Vanek and to be quite honest there is little difference. Hodgson and Mouslon are both perfect 2nd line players. Sabres have a bunch of good young players that will be fixtures on lines 2-4. We need 3 tp line players though. That's pretty tough to just aquire. Unless Grigorenko and Armia are two of those 3 guys, which I doubt

id say moulson and hodgson could be a quality top line if they get another good player on their line.

again.. detroit has it tough.. their fanbase is based in a crumbling city

that being said .. Kronwall has been taken off the ice on a stretcher before... probably buys him some leniency as well.

dont think for two seconds that suspensions dont account for exterior issues.

you play in toronto? the rope is a lot shorter.

play in florida.. the rope is miles long.

As soon as Hodgeson cleans up his defensive play he can definitely be a top line player. However, he isn't a true #1 center. That's where Reinhart comes in.

I don't understand how Boston makes it out of a majority of their suspensions but the Leafs get dinged on absolutely everything.
