Also saying that 2nd and 1st are going to be close...ya it's a bit (frank)ing early to say that, this is the Leafs we're talking about. Masters of disaster and broken hearts. - AdamFrench
The Leafs would have to make it past the 2ns round for the Leafs 1st to be 10 away from FLA 2nd..... Brady hangin with Ford too much. |

Oh, now I get it. - AdamFrench
even if he puts up his normal 20 goal/50 pt output the rest of the way , probably gonna have 30 goals/65 points...that should get him 5+ million on a 7 year deal |

Wait, you mean he's not supposed to be outscoring Crosby, Ovechkin and Stamkos? Leafs draft a bust again

I don't think a guy can light it up only because he's up for a new contract. Not at the rate Steen is doing it anyway. He's just on a ridiculously hot streak imho. |

it doesn't go by how far you make it in the playoffs anymore (except the finals teams). Had to look that up last year when Ottawa drafted before us, even though they made it to rd 2 |

Agreed. However most players do better than normal in a UFA year, or at least it always seems that way. Pressure for the contract or whatever. Steen is going to get paid, big time. Even if he only scores 14 the rest of the season, which probably won't be the case because that Blues team is (frank)ing stacked. |

Nice mix, though they still lack that gamebreaker without Steen going all super sayan on the league. |

Is it me or that 3rd line of Morrow-Roy-Stewart would be a 2nd line on most teams (with a younger Morrow)?

Yup... but when every both of your top two lines capable of playing defense and shutting a team down, might as well add another scoring line...
I'm sad we traded Steen |

The thing with Derek Roy is that he lacks consistency. Part of the reason I never liked him in buffalo. |

When Nieuwendyk is the GM again. We can fleece him like Pittsburgh did for Neal. |
