I don't think too many are gonna complain about the Beauchemin trade...
Lupul since the 2011-2012 season has 44 goals, 53 assists and 97 points in 98 games. We also got Gardiner and a draft pick. Steen is having a freak season, cant say anything about Rask, hated that trade since day one (who trades the best goalie prospect in the world for a guy that was coming off a season which he posted a 3.71GAA?)

If we never traded rask, we probably wouldn't have gave away that haul for Toskala either. our 1st ended up being eller, but shattenkirk and paccioretty were picked shortly after as well

yeah the Beauch trade is the easiest to swallow. I really liked Steen and didn't like that trade.....and of course Rask was a huge mistake.

Who the (frank) would trade a first for Matthias? Guy oozes mediocrity. Third line centre at best on a bottom-feeder. 2nd or 3rd rounder should be more than enough.

They have 2 good goalies, Beauchemin didn't exactly do well in his stint in TO and please, for the love of God, Steen was at best a 3rd line center when he was in TO and no one could have predicted he'd have this type of season this year. And will he ever come close again to those numbers?

Also saying that 2nd and 1st are going to be close...ya it's a bit (frank)ing early to say that, this is the Leafs we're talking about. Masters of disaster and broken hearts.

Just looking at the sabres roster..Matt Moulson, with his 2 goals, is 2nd in sabres scoring. Kessel, JVR, Lupul and Bolland are scoring goals at a higher rate than the entire sabres team combined...we have to come away with 4 points this weekend, hopefully a pair of shutty's as well!
