They need to eliminate the dumb CHL rule or whatever it is that prevents younger players from playing in the AHL. I still fail to see the advantage to making the kids choose between an environment that is either too easy (QMJHL, European Legues, etc) or too difficult (NHL).

Because without that rule every team would have all their good prospects playing in the A. Effectively destroying the quality of junior hockey and the amount of money their owners and the league can make.
