They need to eliminate the dumb CHL rule or whatever it is that prevents younger players from playing in the AHL. I still fail to see the advantage to making the kids choose between an environment that is either too easy (QMJHL, European Legues, etc) or too difficult (NHL).

Yeah thats another thing but maybe its a good thing, the coaches wont play them in the AHL because they like their "vets" who are irrelevant for the future on NHL teams
