Bobby Sanguinetti this offseason? 25 year old playing in the KHL, but grew up in NJ. Grew up a Flyer fan, but it might be enticing for him to sign on cheap with the Devils and be close to home. Can't be much worse than Harrold, and he's still not done growing.

Tallon probably drafted those guys so he probably thinks higher of them than anyone else and it gets versteeg out of the east. Also is Matteau and one of our d prospects that much of a better package? Seems about the same to me. Would of been nice though. But he is a very streaky player who hasn't played too good the last two years now. Seems a bit too cocky not sure he would of fit in personality wise either as it seems that factored into them shipping him out.

As much as I hate Matteau I think he has more value then Hayes, I dont know much about that Olsen guy so I cant really comment on him but I know they didnt give up a roster player for him and Hayes I believe was a Leafs draft bust. Versteeg I think would be able to score more then Ryder or Brunner but he may fall in the same category as them.

We easily could have beaten this offer, kind of disappointed. Hayes is a bigger ponikarovsky and Olson has some nice upside but I wouldn't say he's a blue chip prospect.

When a team is keeping 2 million in salary your either playing horrible or a bad teammate. Everyone is forgetting to the whole east to west. Most teams rather deal a guy out of conference.

Cammy has this same rep for those of you hoping Lou would get him. He was very unhappy that he was the lone player left in Calgary when they decided to rebuild. He is very much a me player and is way to cocky plus he is 30+. Lou is likely licking his chops for when the Sabres get ready to trade Stafford and I will hate him every bit for it.
