I actually saw somewhere today that he might be available. Like him, but where would he fit right wing or center. I believe he played center before. Our right wing would be full with Jagr, Brunner, and Ryder. Zajac, Henrique, Ruutu as our centers.

If he wants to play center I would do Volchenkov and Loktionov for him. If he wants to play wing I would do Volchenkov and Tedenby haha which is likely a worse deal.

I think at this point in Larsson career, it would include more than just Larsson to get Eberle. I think Eberle is more proven, production wise, but I don't think that's Larsson's fault, that's on PDB.

I think they are done goalie shopping until at least the off season since they took a flyer on Bryz. But they certainly want to be in win now mode so Boucher, Merril, Severson, Wedgewood, Santini, Kujawinski would all likely not be very attractive to them. Guys I think they would be interested in from the Devils are ( this doesnt mean I am saying they get us any of their big 4 just listing players they would likely be interested in) Greene, Zubrus, Jagr, I am on the fence about Zajac as they have Nuge and Gagner but possibly him. I obviously think they would have interest in Henrique and Larsson as well but not at the price we would be asking.

True. I think giving Henrique up though doesn't make us better. For example, if it was Henrique and Larsson for Eberle, than I'd say no to that. We would just be replacing Henrique with Eberle and losing Larsson for nothing.

I would actually like to keep Teddy, I've liked what I've seen of him this year, but with Loktionov or JJ I wouldn't mind, preferably Lokti.

Douglas Murray is about the same player as Volchenkov, Yes Volchenkov likely has lower value because of his contract but Zidlicky who is likely a better player then either one of them so he could likely fetch more then what Murray did as he is a UFA and is signed to under 4 million.

Peter Harrold is our savior, Deboer is just trying to show us. Pretty soon he'll be logging 32 minutes a night.

However, I feel Larsson has a leash on him like if he makes a mistake PDB will take him out, so he makes the conservative play in the offensive zone instead of taking a shot when a lane is open. He did it earlier this year with taking him out in favor of Harrold or Fayne.

I agree I am a huge Henrique guy. Eberle will out point Henrique most years if not all for sure but we get worse by moving Henrique as he is a much stronger all around player with better offensive skills then Zajac. I would move Henrique for a player like that but not him and Larsson. I would rather try and move a guy like Zajac for him then Henrique not matter how bad we did without him those few games. I mentioned it to Rangers fans but I wouldnt mind him either. A guy like Chris Stewert if he was available. He is a every other year player though it seems? but he is the closest thing to Lucic in the league right now.

Everytime I watch this movie I am like why did it have to end ! I could of watched their lives go on well into their 30s

It would potentially be for only this year though. Not 100% for going after him, but him and Brunner are completely different players. Gaborik is fairly decent defensively and scores a hell of a lot more than Brunner does. He also did have some success on a very defensive oriented Rangers team

He's had success in counter attack teams but we're not a counter attack team. We grind it out and generally slow the game down. Also since Brunner has been in the league: 61gp- 16g-17a. Gaborik over the same time: 63gp- 17g-21a

I dont think it something we need to do especially if it costs us a young building block but I wouldnt complain if he came on the cheap. I also feel like he isnt as reliant of others to score as Brunner is. Gaborik can create his fair share of chances on his own. He does have that tendancy to disappear at time though like Brunner does.

I'm just looking at it through Mactavish's eyes. They need defense and goaltending, so that's why I said it might include Schneider. Out of the young defensemen, I would probably be alright with Larsson going, but Larsson and what else, unless they want more established players that are still young enough like Zajac or Henrique. I've seen other trades about Eberlie on this blog and those included in some trades are Boucher, Mattau, and a young defenseman or something like that, young players. I think they would want guys like Greene and/or Schneider included something that fills their needs, but makes them better, veterans and not Volch, Sal, Zid. I wouldn't trade Schneider, I'm just looking at through Edmonton's point of view because they would want a lot.

But you are problably right that they're looking for more established players, but we really don't have many established players to give. We only have so many core players in their prime and we need them and its not like they are looking for someone 35+.

I am willing to use Matteau as a toss in for every trade haha I dont think he has anything to be more then a third line rat type player. I dont see the toughness. When I see him I see more of a punk kind of guy who will do dirty things and get under the skin of other players but wont end up dropping the gloves a good portion of the time.
