I guess there wasn't enough time to cover it all but I do agree about Jagr and would have liked to have seen more of Lindros and LeClair. it was a nice touch including Mario's last game and how the fans (I was actually there) cheered him. They did forget about Mario's coming back from hodgkin's disease and how the "hated" fans cheered him then too. Overall I liked it

I was at the game where he got chemo in the morning, boarded a separate plane, and flew to Philly. He got a standing ovation from the fans when he come out. He got a standing ovation when he scored. The he got mild silence when he scored again.

Over Jack Edwards? At least Jackson's never laughed at a player being injured.
And I don't really like Jeanerette, legend or not. He sounds like a rooster being castrated while drowning in water...and is a pretty big homer.

But yeah, after those 2, Jackson's pretty bad.

I actually like JJ, well compared to most other PBP guys.. its Coatsy who annoys me more. He'll do the "quote of the game," but then he'll reword the whole thing so it isnt even a quote anymore. I also cannot stand Jeanerette and it just keeps getting worse and worse. Just typical Buffalo fashion to keep someone who's time has well pass expired because its the easier thing to do

What amazes me is that G gets slashed on a wrist when he's had surgery to repair both and possibly could have been on the hand he hurt right before the season started but he's "selling it".
C'mon? Really?
Fine then please explain why Hartnell got an offsetting penalty for missing a slash?

I know from past experience its not the delivery as much as the intent. Even tho he swung and missed, the attempt can still be called

The entire Flyers broadcast crew sans Clement, is an amateur hour clown show.

That used to annoy me until I began to do presentations. I figure people can read... So the summary doesn't bug me these days. But you're right not a quote anymore...

I felt like they tried to sit on that lead. they would dump it in and peel back to get in coverage. I hate playing like that. I mean, don't make stupid pinches and whatnot but don't just sit back in a total defensive coverage. Of course that said, they did at times clog up the neutral zone and stopped the Pens from getting in the zone at the blue line.
- nastyflyergirl

I didnt like it either. And right from the opening faceoff of the 3rd period. Read could have skated it in but elected to dump it. Once that happened, I knew for sure it was going to be a loooooooooooong 3rd period.

made me sick. i was watching live when it happened, and was going nuts that they did nothing. not to mention he then runs the other guy and gets a match. (frank)ing asshat.
- hammarby31

Seriously, the fact Kadri hits your goalie in the head and nothing is done is just beyond my comprehension. I saw an interview on the NHL Network during the middle of the night when I woke up and heard someone (was half asleep so I didn't catch who it was) from the Wild mention that they are a passive team in response to why no one went after Kadri. We have a Rosehill we can send your way

Agreed, but I also like JJ. I'll admit, he's whiny at times, but I find him inoffensive. The radio crew is much better though, imo.

Big Jay was a monster in his 3:35 of icetime last night. At least he didn't take a dumb penalty that led to the only Pens goal of the night. I guess we can be thankful for that.

I prefer Jones in the studio and Clement in the booth. My fave broadcast team is still the Rangers. The least fave are the Bruins, Pens and Sabres. Voice matters to me and I just cannot stand Jeanneret's voice. He seems like a nice guy but man, that damn voice.

such a stupid needless penalty too. I mean, preventing a goal or good chance I can live with but a senseless crosscheck just irritates me.

Meh. I wouldn't say that just yet. Their even-strength save %'s are fairly close. Mason is being helped by a much better penalty kill than Columbus'.

I like Rosen. Very solid. Liked when JD was doing the games with him, but Micheletti isn't bad.

Strader is the best imo.

Interesting Paul Stewart blog today on why (in his view) so many bad calls are made on plays around the net. He says the NHL directly discourages refs from skating to the net for a better vantage point.

I'd say that, right now, Mason's playing better. But overall, little premature.

I never know whose they are, but there are announcers that really scream when their team scores a goal, and it's terrible. Like, it sounds like a youtube video of somebody's 30 year old basement dweller losing their poop over World of Warcraft or an eBay auction or something.

If anybody knows which announcers I'm thinking of, please call them stupid for me.

Watching the replay of the Emery's save on Crosby. Giroux and Grossman are chasing him down with another Pen nearby. Giroux skates away from that Pen in order to do his patented stick push to Grossman's ass. Giroux skates AWAY from that Pen to do this and that Pen is left wide open in front of Emery if there was a rebound opportunity instead of Giroux marking him.

I'm tired of BS like this from our Captain
