Gave you a little shout out at the beggining of the Blog...
- JW98FlyerFan

Missed it but it was the first thing I thought about post game last night. I knew someone out there was happily satisfied and waiting to jab me in the morning.

It happens all of the time because...

"We're good friends, right?"

and he picks up the check.

So it's the money and not the safety... I'm confused now.

Luke Schenn vs. Mark Streit

Schenn is still being used on the PK as a regular. He's not being held back from that scenario. On the flip side of the coin, Schenn isn't being used in the dying moments, while defending a third period lead. Personally, I think using Streit in such a situatis more costly. I think Streit's turnovers and mistakes have been more obvious and sometimes more costly at the end of a game.

He's not really a guy I want playing the last 5 minutes against the Pens. I like Gus, but he's not ready for that.
- PhillySportsGuy

He's ready. I wish they play him soon in those situations.

Don't be confused. Nerdy guys will always believe they're the nice guy destined to rescue the beautiful girl form the a$$hole good looking guys who don't treat them right because we watch those same goofy movies.

Ahhhh.. all the girls I missed out on in college because I was busy chasing the dream.

I agree 100%
Relying on Streit for defensive play late in a game is really taking a chance, I would rather see Luke in that spot, especially when you figure they are just going to rotate Coburn, Timonen, and Grossmann for the last 2-3 mins or so when leading the game anyway.

Schenn is on a pace for 27 goals and assists. not bad

Would be great to see. I don't like him, but would rather him be successful than not.

Do these have to be our only options? I was hoping the thread was going to bouy my spirits.

Luke has had some bad turnovers too.
I am seeing some signs he may be figuring it out, but it speaks volumes about what Berube thinks seeing him trust Streit more then Luke at the end of these tight games.
Streit can be good setting up plays on offense but he is pretty average in his own end.

I'll admit that Giroux has developed some bad habits. (Letting Kunitz beat him to the net was unforgivable). However, I feel better now after the last fews games. His line has generated chances. He needs to start potting some of those chances though.

Timonen shot him a "wtf" glare as giroux skated by him

huh....no articles from Timmy P about the game last night, but he found time to write about Bobby Ryan loving the Sens today? Wonder why. How is this troll a Flyers insider?

To add to this, I think Streit should play the first unit of the PP and make this start, so when the Power play expires, you have a more reliable Timonen already out there. This avoids a shift change when you wanna rush Streit off the ice.

No one likes Konan the Destroyer. Despite Wilt's exploits and the cute princess, it was awful.

We clearly need Konan the Barbarian.
