I think people got a bit worked up after the youngsters started performing and they thought a new management team meant instant success. they have a couple of good players so some may have let expectations run a bit high and what you are witnessing is not hysteria as much as it is the resounding thump of disappointment.

i'm not sure. i see a complete change in the way they play the game this year as opposed to how they played last year. they seem to have adopted a much more passive approach... less forecheck, fewer transition opportunities. i said earlier that i recalled Therrien saying he thought the team was worn out after 40 games last season so he would dial things back a bit. that said, chasing the puck 60% of the time and blocking 74 shots per night will wear a team out as well.
