I find it amazing how they manage to keep sucking after receiving so much young talent through the draft.

...and hiring a coach who excels at developing YOUNG talent (through experience coaching and AHL team filled with 28-29 year olds).

Thing is, they have very good young players, but none of them are at the level or close to the Level of Crosby. Couple that with a very suspect defense and below average goaltending and you get a team that can't get out of the basement.

The Thrashers had some very good players at one point, they never did anything worth mention.

Draisaitl had 97 goals and 192 points in 29 games for Mannheimer at the under-16 level in 2010-11

that's because they were sent to the Chicago Wolves aka: the place where promising prospects go to die in favour of Jason Krog and Dan Haydar

I get what you're saying, but the talent they drafted is still considerable even if none of them are at superstar level (now or ever).

I think the reason is mostly the second part of your argument. While they drafted great offensive talent, they never managed to surround them with good veterans and solid defense/goaltending that would show them how things are done in the NHL.

I like how he plays, I'll keep following him.

The league must have been crappy, but over 3 goals per game is alright

People saying that I told her that I wanted to eat her wussy are lying, I never said that ever. I'm happily married to my lovely wife and I eat enough meat at home.

No kidding.

Or was his play without the puck worrying you after you noticed the stats?

....

Or is there a moment in a game he doesn't have the puck?

The oilers are not a team...they are a collection of high draft picks...
