i like you, and i like only about 5 penguins fans, so thats saying something

was a fantastic game tonight, neither team deserved to lose tbh. Emery was great for us.
Fun & entertaining as always.

lots of players starting to come around. Simmonds looked like a monster tonight.

- FlyerGuy

simmer has been good the last few games
a force out there, and playing within in himself if you know what I mean

Neal tried to concuss two Flyers on one shift with jumping headshots. Let us know when Schenn ever does something that dirty.

good luck

So... Did Chris Kunitz even play tonight?
- Schenn2shine

after the kick in, he became such a perimeter player. love him as a player, but he isnt a sniper. if he loses the sandpaper he becomes ineffective

For all his good defensive plays, Coots still makes some bad mistakes with the puck at both ends...the failed clears and turnovers, especially in the defensive zone, detract from his overall defensive game which I think still has a ways to go in my eyes...and offensively, he looks inept. He's so young that I can't nail down his potential yet, but let's just say I'm not as enamoured as some with his defense...he makes some plays others make too but it seems like when it's Coots, it's elevated to a Selke level performance. He's good, but not that good...yet (imo).

A lot of his struggles in the defensive end, in my mind still have a lot to do with him being a wiry 20 year old that still needs to fill out. I dont see a whole lot of turnovers from him. But yes I'm thrilled with his defense and think hes a future Selke candidate. He is doing less offensively this year than his first 2, which is a concern, I would like that arrow to be pointing up

yup. simplified his game. doesnt try to be the puck carrier. plays to his strengths. some goals will come to him soon if he keeps it up.

he is having a very solid year so far

I think this is the best I've seen him play in 2-3 years

- Marc D

I have no way to prove it, but it seems like Coburn carries the puck a LOT more under Berube vs under Lavy. It just plays into his strengths more.

ex I think coots has show progress this year, even if not scoring

looks stronger, better on faceoffs

his potential is still very high

the advance stat people can show you his possession numbers are very good, to me he passes the eye test

yeah. i hope he didnt get hurt or something. usually that kind of thing raises his game. but he was a perimeter player who largely shied away from getting his nose dirty after that.

There's actually plenty of decent fans from other teams around. I'd definitely lump you in that category.

yeah he is still crazy young. that cant be overlooked. if he was just called up from the AHL this year people would be gushing about his potential. no, i dont think he is ever going to become a stamkos, but still. can be that 15 to 20 goal, 40 point shut down center no problem.
