I love how BSchenn is a punk to Pittsburgh because he once dared to give Crosby a cross check in response to a Crosby slash. They really are so precious.
- Feanor

tons of flyers i like and respect. he just will never be one of them. same way you guys probably all feel about neal. objectively, they both do the same dirty things they shouldnt, but ive beaten that horse to death about that pair.

if you can frustrate him he is easy to get off his game and starts doing dumb stuff. no one is better at getting under his skin than couturier

I'm convinced Coots pinches his ass or something.

See, you understand it.

I don't mind embellishing a call every once in awhile. Giroux is a star player in the league, so the refs are going to extra mindful of him. If they see him react to an apparent slash, they're going to call it--just like when they see Crosby go down after being held down, or cross-checked. Does this mean Giroux and Crosby are selling it? Most likely. They're both strong players with good puck possession (especially Crosby).

What I didn;t like was Pierre going on about it, considering the fact that he loves Crosby.

- KGBflyers10

yeah exactly. i dont care whatever view someone has on it either way. but at least have it consistent across the board. no difference whatsoever between the mentalities of crosby or giroux. although i do have to sympathize for you guys for pierre. he views crosby coming across the blue line as a highlight of the game

Pierre is a joke.

I still remember Crosby losing a faceoff to Giroux two seasons ago and then slashing Giroux twice knocking the stick out of his hands. The linesman who was inches away swallowed his whistle. That type of cheating cannot be allowed.

Neal tried to concuss two Flyers on one shift with jumping headshots. Let us know when Schenn ever does something that dirty.

Kimmo's best game of the year
agreed?

- FLYERSROCK!

yeah kimmo was awesome. he sets the tone for the entire defense when he is on. ton of respect for him. total pain in the ass to go against when he has his legs under him like he did tonight, but the man is nothing but class. extremely effective without being dirty in the slightest. hate to see him shutting down the pens, but good for him to have some juice left in a great career for a great guy

Kimmo's play in the final half minute was great, keeping Malkin hemmed behind the net.

You guys could and dare I say should have won this game. The Pens flubbed so many chances....shades of the first 2 weeks of this season for the Flyers.

If you're referring to the slash that Giroux took, I'm going to disagree with you. He does embellish calls (which I hate I really do) but it looked like he took one there. Seems like he's always getting slashed on the wrists.

1-1. Can't wait for round 3.

i like you, and i like only about 5 penguins fans, so thats saying something

was a fantastic game tonight, neither team deserved to lose tbh. Emery was great for us.
Fun & entertaining as always.

Stud. Really I could give a flying poop if hes a zero on the offensive end. He is shutdown city
- Just5

For all his good defensive plays, Coots still makes some bad mistakes with the puck at both ends...the failed clears and turnovers, especially in the defensive zone, detract from his overall defensive game which I think still has a ways to go in my eyes...and offensively, he looks inept. He's so young that I can't nail down his potential yet, but let's just say I'm not as enamoured as some with his defense...he makes some plays others make too but it seems like when it's Coots, it's elevated to a Selke level performance. He's good, but not that good...yet (imo).
