I thought the same thing. More along the lines of - Man, she was mean when she was 6?

I assume everyone on here is 21 until proven they are 12... And yes some of you have done this!

haha. I was surprised that Chief was the one restraining Laviolette from braining Bylsma. I guess now that Lappy's job, to restrain Chief.

Flyers showed they can be a very good team when they skate and play hard for 60 minutes.

Its been years since they have pulled that off, so it was very good to see.

I'm a bit surprised at Ottawa, they have outworked the Flyers consistently the last two years in head to head games.

I am not convinced the Flyers can keep that up, but it was a tremendous effort from the whole team.

I am glad that Berube is giving Mason the night off. I did not like how Lavi would roll the hot goalie even in back to backs. I would have been OK playing Emery last night and Mason tonight too.

I like what Downie brings to the top nine. He is hard on the puck and has some stick skills and grit. They were short a top 9 winger and Raffl/McGinn/Talbot were not getting it done. Downie fits there and makes the top 3 lines seem more balanced.

Sitting fat Schenn didn't do much for his confidence. Maybe just let him play himself through the mess right now. Give him at least 18 minutes a night and see what happens.

Completely agree with the poster that said getting G's line going will take enormous pressure off Couts and baby Schenn. Very important and a key to this season.

Mase looks fabulous, and it seems him and Giroux are bonding. I never felt that with Bryz. I thought Bryz had the skills to be a #1 but especially towards the end I didn't feel the team would take a bullet for him.

Excited for tonight, love Pens/Flyers game day, especially since the last two games makes think they have a real shot tonight.

Didn't G and Mason play on the Canadian world juniors team that one back in 06 or something? I think Simmonds was on that team too.

NFG are you righty or a lefty?
I box southpaw due to years of martial arts training and a dominant left eye... So I could probaby take the left side no problem.

And yeah I didn't want to put words in your mouth. I figured you could defend yourself...

I'm a righty. It takes a lot to get me mad these days but when I do get mad, I can lose it. Crazy fighter

I dont like Lappy's chances.... or Bylsma's.... or Panger's chance with Berube on the way over there....

Wouldn't it be great if when Pang is talking Chief leans into the box and says... "Say Crosby's name one more time......" then leers at him.

I'm really crossing my fingers for goals from Couturier, Simmonds and Streit tonight. Timonen really needs one too but I would be happy if he got an assist. The man needs a point.
- Schenn2shine

Simmer played a whale of a game last night I thought.
The set up on the PP goal was magnificent, but he kept the puck moving forward all game and was great on the boards. He took a big hit from a Sens D and kept his cool and kept playing hockey rather then retaliate. Really liked what he brought last night.

Yeah it was. we were a good team at one time. I've been on 2 pretty damn good men's team. the Admirals and Reapers but both ended up going to poop. that team you subbed for at UPENN was a hot mess. I lasted a yr or two with them. getting too old for that nonsense

Whether I like it or not, I suppose this is his chance. What if the team loses though? I hope Emery does play well and leads us to victory but if he doesn't, many will point out the obvious after the game that I'm already pointing out. Emery should have started yesterday, Mason tonight. Then Mason could have went on to play Friday after night. No questions moving forward.
- Schenn2shine

Mason got his first shutout as a Flyer last night and the Flyers played their best game of the season but it was wrong for him to play.

Great logic.
