Let's be honest here...Bettman hates the Flyers, if we continue to stink it up for the rest of the season and draw the first pick ball, Bettman would throw it on the floor and draw again...look at the anti-goalie fighting discussion...if the Flyers didn't have the following, draw and sales, i think he would have tried to take over the team and move it years ago...Ed and company contiunue to to out maneuver every rule he has tried to put in place.

A little "difficulty" in the schedule is AOk by him...

They have the most back to back games of any team in the NHL, I think, plus they lost their star player who, in signing him, cost the franchise a 1st round pick.

Which will likely be a top 5 pick this year because that same star they signed bolted.

I think if any franchise can claim "the league hates us" status right now, it's the NJ Devils.

They have the most back to back games of any team in the NHL, I think, plus they lost their star player who, in signing him, cost the franchise a 1st round pick.

Which will likely be a top 5 pick this year because that same star they signed bolted.

Everything other than the back to backs was self-inflicted. Word was that the Devils would've needed to ask the league for help to meet payroll if Kovalchuk was still on the roster. It was just a rumor but interesting that Kovalchuk bolts for Russia right after that rumor came out.
