MDZ, Kreider and draft pick for Yakupov

Bush league stuff from Yakupov and his agent IMO. Now every GM in the league is going to be low balling MacT and co. The exact opposite of what the Oilers need right now, more distractions in an already tough season.

Low balling? He's got 4 points, -4 and an agent who will throw a grenade into your locker room after 17 games if he doesn't agree with the coaches. What exactly do you think he should be worth? IMO, he's gonna be the next Zherdev and Filatov. The Oilers legacy deserves better upper management than this. The fact that they didn't trade down for better defence just blows my mind

fair enough, either way, if something does not change, it'll not end well for Yak. Agent or not, the guy is starting to look like a whiner. And he should never openly have an opinion on whether he is open to a trade or not. All of that needs to stay internal.

Wasn't it made clear by Eakins that Yak was safe?

So why is Larionov even lighting this fuse?

It isn't about making poop up, it is about jumping to conclusions based on a quote from a guy, that may or may not have been taken out of context, and as of yet we don't know anything about what yak and larionov have talked about. Saying yak wants out, based on this one quote is a huge jump to a conclusion that we do not know is true or not. Everything we see and here is subjective as we aren't there, don't know what Custance saw and the guy makes money by printing poop like this. Once again, where did you read in this quote "yak wants out of Edmonton"?

i would have considered trading down, but not the non sense of picking murray over yak. yak has more value than murray at the moment in any trade.

Glad a few of you get that it wasn't a troll comment.

I think many teams go through problems like this. Some players get treated unfairly. Some deserve it due to sloppy play. Sadly though, someone interferes, and poop gets outta control.

I honestly think this is up to the team reps to sit Yak down and right this problem, whatever it is, before it results in a trade outta town.
