Don't think it would have been maximumbone, that kid is a damn smart ginger.
Their pp is currently 18th and pk is 22nd I believe. Not league worst, but a huge drop from last year.

I think he must have had a small (recent) sample size because his numbers were better than 18/22.

So, after all this, do think he gets traded? not whether he should be or not, but will he?

I feel like regardless of whether he's a Russian diva or not there's a solid case to shop him, if you can make a legitimate hockey trade. I mean it's a structural problem in Edmonton even if they were playing better.

Never been a troll. You just have a difficult time having a conversation with someone who holds an opposing opinion on the matter. Just because I'm not a card carrying member of the Edomonton fan club doesn't mean I have no clue as to what I'm talking about in regards to the Oilers.

I'm not saying I know anything in absolutes. But with issues like this, the writing is always on the wall for everyone to see. Except for you I guess.

- MnGump

Yes, it is always the same in every situation. Very stubborn, backwards, egocentric way of thinking. You clearly have a difficult time when someone points out you have no facts or evidence to support your opinions. You came to an Oilers thread, and made a derogatory comment about one of the teams players. Yup. Thats not trolling at all.

That is exactly why I think it may not happen.

How do you make a good hockey trade when you don't know what you have? Do you have an attitude problem, diva, who refuses to play defense and be coached.

Or do you have a Calder candidate who is having a sophomore slump, on a slumping team, who just needs time?

I can't imagine GM's are lining up to trade proven top-line talent for the guy.

Due to the improvements in both over the past few games we have risen to 18/22. We were much worse than that 2 weeks ago. I think 22/29 kind of bad...

This may be the case. They may have to wait for the situation to stabilize somewhat with him.

Oh yeah, either way is a guess, at best. None of us know what has really been said between the team and Yak or his agent or between Yak and Larionov.

It just seems like he needs to mature, a lot, so I could believe a hissy fit took place.

There is nothing more manly than Movember. Two hot women at work told me that I suited my new 'stache. Sadly, I am married, one of them is married, and the other is a lesbian... who has a SMOKIN' bod. On second thought, the smokin lesbian part isn't sad.

- Aetherial

Of course he has to mature. At twenty his brain isn't even fully developed yet. That whole part that we use to anticipate consequences of actions, isn't done developing till like at least 22. I watched both pressers between yak and eakins and eakins said no such thing of a hissy fit and yak never had one either. Sure it could have happened, but we are just making assumptions based on our limited view of what has been presented to us in the media. Igor should have known better. He also could have been drunk and let something slip. Who knows.

That is a big dilemma with the hot chic and lesbo. You could ask them to make out and stuff while you watch. I can't grow a stache so will never experience the power of the stache that you have sir.

Power of my wife >>>> Power of the 'stache

Thanks for your response though. I will never be able to go hang out at their desk now without picturing them making out

You hit the nail on the head with this. He is the victim of a new coach, and guys ahead of him who are getting more minutes simply because they are a little better on the right side than he is. I have watched the majority of the games this year and he does some stupid poop with the puck, and without the puck, more often than he does good things. Just a matter of time of swinging the balance to the good side. Not fair to say yak refuses to play defense when the whole team has been poopty at it this year.

I was out last night and ran into to girls, one I have known since she is 7 and just turned 18, the other from playing ball against, and saw both of their boobies. Was very awkward and will never look at either of them the same, so I understand your pain.
They were very big, and very nice btw.

Well (frank), put me in the same category.

All I've heard is that they're open to a trade if Edmonton is unhappy (Edmonton is not unhappy) and that Yak wants to be here and wants to win for us. Nothing definitive that Yak wants out, and nothing substantial between the lines to suggest otherwise.

Justin Schultz has had a borderline worse year based on where he was last year.

Hey, If Gump has seen it once, that is all he needs to see and KNOWS what is going on. Funny I read and watched the same thing you seemed to see today.

Of course he doesn't WANT to leave. This is most likely a ploy cooked up by a player that is not content and his agent for the sole purpose of rattling the Edmonton organization. It's a gamble. He wants the Oilers to have to make a move in his favor because he knows the Edmonton fans want him there.

I guess I didn't think one would need cold hard facts (I mean outside of the fact his agent spontaniously announcing he's open to trade talks) to come to a conclusion that this is a game of chicken he and his agent are playing and a way for Yak to get what he wants.

As I stated, this is merely a theory, but all indications would logically lead to truth.

I still think that a deal around yak, gags, and picks for Couturier, Coburn, and Simmonds would be the way to go. Philly gets more talented and we get harder to play against. While I love Yak and have his jersey hanging in my closet I think he is the easiest to trade. The Oilers can't really afford for him to turn into anything but a bonafide 35-40 goal scorer. (Frank) this team gives me a headache with all the holes we need to fill

It probably helps that the going rate for a skilled forward in Edmonton is 6 million a year for a lot of years

Nothing indicates that Larionov is going to come have weekly progress meetings with Eakins or anything. Eakins said that nothing has changed: he "expects Yakupov to play Wednesday and play well".

Yakupov wants more playing time, and we know this because he said so, not because Larionov initiated some kind of chess match. There's no indication that him not immediately getting that playing time will initiate some kind of trade scenario. That's the step I'm not following in your assumptions.
