Why what has either player done? Folgino hasn't done anything and we need scoring, I'd do that deal in a heartbeat but the Oilers won't.
- SABRES 89

If the Coach used him right he might make a impact... really? playing him at center

If we did trade for yakupov a year later he will be off to the KHL

( we will use him wrong like we do with all the other players )

Would you guys be ok with including Foligno and a D-man say Ehrhoff for Yak?
- ImThatGuy

You can have Stafford and Erhoff , Not trading away one of our young core we are building on . You folks want to give up on the young kids awful quick

Trading Erhoff and that crap contract is worth it alone, Foligno is not going to be what everyone thinks he will be. to many peope love to many players on this team, nobody should be untochable, trade what you have to get where you need to be. I don't agree with it but, that's what they are doing.

What's Foligno done that makes him untradeable?

So you want to give up crap to get a real nice return? Sounds about right.

You have to give to get.

Im just using it because that is the trade rumor that keeps popping up Yak to Buffalo.

I would do it to be honest. Yea it would hurt to lose Foligno, but he can be replaced by the likes of Tropp, Girgensons, Ott and to a lesser extent McCormick and Larsson for that gritty third line forward.

We need top line talent.

Ott isn't going to be a Sabre for more than three more months. As much as I hate saying it...

Erhoff contract is not a crap deal . It is actually a great deal with the Cap going forward . All the big Money has been paid out already . I have no problem trading him but calling the contract crap is misinformation.

Yak is looking like a top line headcase at this point . I really worry about him bolting to the KHL.

Thats the problem, the Sabres have an overflow of guys who are not pure goal scorers. We need to get goal scorers on this team.

YAK will flounder and fail on this team. He is a drama queen and a head case.

He basically said he doesn't like playing defense or doing anything but scoring goals. That's not "his game" so he doesn't understand why he should have to do it.

I dont know where this drama queen and head case is coming from. I have heard nothind of the sort except from fans of outside organizations saying so.

So he doesnt like playing defense, I can name several players who dont like playing defense but can score goals and would help the Sabres greatly.

and down the line you have Kea and Bailey..

I wouldn't think McMuscle is a 3rd line guy.. he should be on the 4th along with Tropp..

We do need top line talent.

I have also heard the head case stuff, and I don't want to have a cancer like that on the team. Anyway if he comes to Buffalo he will leave first opportunity.

He is a 3rd liner. If you extrapolate the stats from this year and last year, he is/was on track for 30 points.

Can you prove that? One of his good friends already plays here in Grigorenko.

He and his agent haev already said the KHL is not an option, im willing to believe them.

This. Guys with talent like Yakupov don't grow on trees. 2nd-3rd line tweeners like Foligno are easier to find

Agree on McMuscle and Tropp, but they can fill that type of role. I think a lot of it is Foligno is a hometown guy.

If you took Folignos name out and said would you trade a grinder and Ehrhoff for a potential top line player would you do it?

Im starting to think more and more into the Russian needs Russians on team. Look at us 1 russian in Grigo and the Oilers have Yak and Berlov. I think Yak with Grigorenko would help both careers at this point. I dont have much facts to back it or anythign fancy like that just dumb intuition.
