Sucks for them, reminds me of when Kovy went down last year.

While not evenly stretched out, since they suffered back-to-back shutout losses, the Devils have averaged 3 goals over their past three games. What scares me is what those goal totals would look like it this team got better at finishing on their chances.

A lot of people on Twitter, blogs, and forums are going out of their way to downplay Brodeur's recent success, citing how he hasn't faced many shots. The guy is 41-years old and my question to these haters is if it really makes sense for a goalie of that age to be subjected to 25, 30 shots a night in the first place. I don't have the stats in front of me but I'm not sure how many shots older goalies like Hasek and Roloson faced when they were in their 40s and how they fared against them. Just something interesting to consider.

Glad to see PDB is going with the hot hand in tomorrow night's game. The Rangers have been riding a bit of a hot streak of their own though so I hope the Devils come out prepared to face much more stiffer competition than they did last night.

That was a brutal hit Stamkos suffered earlier today. My thoughts are definitely with him. He was in A LOT of pain when he was on the ice. You never want to see that happen.

This is crazy far ahead, but I like prospects. Tyson Baillie is the starting center in Kelowna and is looking fantastic. He plays on a line with Miles Bell and has Severson behind him on the blueline. He's projected to go roughly between picks 30-50 (but is rising steadily), which would likely fall into where we draft in the 2nd round.

I just think it'd be worth bringing up that we could have 3 players in our system, all worthy of where they were drafted (in other words, we wouldn't be going out of our way to draft for chemistry), who've all played on the same line together from juniors. Plus, I like the way Kelowna develops its players.
