Walshy will have something on it in the relatively near future

The track record of your eye test in your sample size here at hockeybuzz leaves much to be desired.

Not sure what your basing that on but ok, stats don't mean anything when it comes down to playing.

Hockey is speed, toughness, skill, and positioning. One of those things the Penguins don't have, sometimes 2 of those things.

Its a shame emotion and opinion have been drowned on this thread with stats.

Playing is what the stats are derived from, believe it or not.

The "because I said so" approach on the Internet isn't good enough. You need to back up claims with facts. Unless credibility isn't a priority.

You say that, but less then 2 weeks ago, the Penguins out played and out "toughed" a team that is usually considered one of the toughest, if not the toughest, team in the NHL. Fact is, its a long season, and over 82 games, your going to get some stinkers.

if toughness isn't a concern on our team, then explain to me why Derek Engelland is playing 4th line RW???

The Bartley/Killian Vaudeville act is a natural thread killer. Nobody cares to debate tired narratives.

Sorry, don't have time to sit here and hit refresh every 10 seconds.

Why is Engelland playing wing? Don't know. Maybe Blysma wants the security of a 7th defenseman. Maybe he is working harder in practice then the other options on the 4th line and is earning the spot. Maybe they just don't have another viable option.

Fact is you're complaining about a team who is 1st in their divison, but has had a couple of losing streaks. I'm happy with their game so far, with the better play of Fleury, the better defense system when they play it, and the emergence of some new names (Maatta and Menga). If this team is healthy come playoff time, they will be Cup contenders. That's all that matters.

Here comes the obligitory sheep picture...........

Sorry, bored at work...............

On a side note, since my loss to you in the superleague, i've went undefeated, and am currently sitting in 2nd.

I forgot to set my lineup last week, fortunately my opponent did as well.

My Stamkos choice for this week looked great 4 hours ago.

This place is getting feisty. I hope the nous can pull out a win on Wednesday or I may need to dig a foxhole.

On a HIGH side not I want to say thank you to any of you that are veterans for your service. It's much appreciated, whether it's for Canada or the US.

Not really...just some poor attention starved soul. Only reasonable explanation why an adult would hate the blogs, hate the blogger and all the rest of us, complain that no one comes here anymore but sheep, and yet still show up and post repeatedly.

As far as things actually worth some attention...any word at all on Martin or his injury? And shame about Stamkos...a huge loss for T.B., the entire NHL and Olympic hockey. Hope he's back before next season and the same as he was.

This team is really missing Scuderi and Martin. Niskanen has not played well with Letang thus far.

Day to day lower body injury, however I remember when they said Beau Bennett was day to day and that turned into 2 weeks.

Yeah that's very similar to Paajarvi and his struggles there. That's what happens when you take a kid #1 and say he's terrific but play him on the 3rd and 4th line yet have plenty of reason to play him every night in the top 6...or at least try to.

I am more of a believer that you do what is required to win and what you're asked to do in order to earn more and he should be doing that but in the back of my mind I wonder how they felt they could get away with that. He's been a very outspoken kid since before juniors. This was coming.
