Hey guys,
I'm going to the flyer vs. isles game on January 18th. Does anybody know the hotel that the visiting team stays at?

Downie cleared to play

- JAKEw1234

I've got my rose-colored glasses on securely and my Kool-Aid right next to me in a 48-oz. cup, but for some reason, I think Read-Couturier-Downie is a line where we'll see Sean Couturier start to produce offensively.

Steve Downie's a good hockey player -- not great, I'm not overselling -- but he plays a style of game that I think will really complement Couturier's. Downie has better puck skills than Wayne Simmonds, can hold the puck better and make plays...I just think this could go well.

Yeah, I know. It would be nice if the Flyers could catch a break and really get Couturier going -- I don't mean 50, 60 points. But if Couturier could just start to look like a 20-goal scorer...it really would allow the team to take a deep breath and start to plan for a future where this team could (hopefully) contend.

Cant tell you for sure, but one website says at the Loews at 12th and Market, and one said at the Four Seasons. The Four Seasons is crazy expensive, so my bet out of the two would be at the Loews.

Simmonds puck play has been especially brutal this year. I'm not so sure his top 6 spot doesn't go to Downie.

As for Coots, I'd like to see them sneak him out for a few shifts on the top two lines here or there the next few games.

I'm just glad they have a big, offensively minded guy like Vinny around. He's a really good guy for Coots to model parts of his game after.

I actually think B.Schenn and Vinny are the most alike in terms of comparisons, and I've also noted that they have some chemistry. I'd love to run with

Almost always. I see them coming out of the entrance onto Ben franklin parkway right onto the bus at about 1230 on game days. Holds true for 6rs visiting teams as well.

Good news on Raffl getting sent down. The kid needs to add like 10-20 lbs to his frame and he needs to hit the weight room. You can tell the way he basically gets rag-dolled off of the puck.

I never saw officially that he got sent down? He wasn't at practice cause he is under-the-weather I thought I read from Homer. Unless there's something new?

Beautiful induction speech by Ray Shero, a true class act. Great seeing all the Bullies in the crowd. A special night for a very special coach. Thank you, Freddie "The Fog" Shero, for all the great memories.

Well Yakupov's agent just went on the radio in EDM after meeting with Oilers management and said Yak would be open to a trade.

That is a little bit of a red flag for me. This means he feels entitled to a roster spot. He gets scratched, and instead of trying to battle his way back onto the roster, he essentially just requests a trade, instead. Buyer beware.
