Preds getting outscored 13-0 over their past 7 and a half periods of play VS the Jets, Devils, and Islanders....and thats after back to back wins at LA and COL....its crazy how these things work sometimes....

Just thinking maybe a seasonal Christmas touch...but I understand. Great stories today. Meant to ask did the greek girl have a thicker stache than you? All in good humor no offense intended.

Can you believe it...the "World's Greatest Goalie" just gave up a second goal to the Devils...at the Garden no less!

How can that be?

Settling down to watch the Yotes and Blues.

I guess I am too. My wife walks into the room and immediately puts the game on - on her own, without me having to suggest anything.

I'm slowly brainwashing her.

Thank you Carolina. An East team actually beat one of our competition. Of course they really just hung on in the 3rd. They got lucky as hell

I am reading posts about point systems/ties, and there is a simple way to look at ties - 1 team loses a point and 1 team gains a point. A team that gives up the tying goal (and the game ends in a tie) lost 1 point they had. A team that scores the tying goal (and the game ends a tie) earned a point they didn't have. So instead of the OTL column, there should be T+ and T-, where the team with the higher number of T+ (which means they tied more games, earning the extra point) should get the tie breaker. You want offense, then a team should not play for the tie.

Really think about this and it makes the most sense. Ties do have winners and losers!

0-0 game? No plus or minus - ok.

Too damn complicated: the standings are too complicated to read now- ROW / SOW / SOL - makes my brain hurt.

Play to a win somehow.

...or play to a tie. Three columns: Wins, Losses, Ties. That's all it needs to be. I'm with you, I can live without the rest of the crap.

And even though Buffalo let LA tie the game with a few minutes left, LA can only get a shootout win now, that helps. Plus Quick left in OT. Buffalo just WON the shootout against LA

Why should you be rewarded for being behind instead of being ahead? That's ridiculous
