Zetterberg jersey

That's hilarious!! But it's ok...I never owned an Yzerman jersey when I was a kid because well I'm from Chicago...but he wan one of my favorite players growin up...went and got a Jagr jersey instead...Pens jersey...STARTER old as poop...still in one piece, great quality....hopefully one day a little cap'n serious will come along and I can give it to him that and a Toews jersey that I plan on buying now when I get to Chicago...good that you got him starting skating at such a young age

- captainserious

Yep....he's loved the game since he was in diapers....instead of watching cartoons on Saturday he watches ondemand NHL highlights. He will spend hours in his room playing goalie...throwing a superball against the wall then trying to block it.......all I hear is ....boom....boom...WHAT A SAVE BY CRAWFORD!!!! for hours!! He met Bobby Ryan last year and him stitches when he called him "silver" like in the commercial.....I'm glad he is passionate about the game....he loves stats like FO percentage etc......

Jagr jersey???? that's worse than a red wings jersey....especially after 92!

All I heard was the break wasn't as complex as originally thought but that report wasn't confirmed.

I just remember all the salutes in the Stanley Cup....hated that guy.

But you're right I do see a lot of Hossa in him....

You know what would be awesome? Jagr getting traded to the Pens, and then the Pens losing in the Cup Finals to the Hawks.

When there is surgery it's either pins, a plate or a rod or a combination of them.

Philco...here is a great story for you that I think you will appreciate...

My 8 year old son knocked a kid down during his game on Saturday.....he wasn't penalized or anything but I kept thinking during the game..."why did he do that"

An hour later we're in the car and he says.."Daddy did you see me knock that kid down???" I answered yes and ask what had happened???

He said...."Daddy he hit Braden(his friend and teammate) in the neck with his stick so I knocked him down to send a message......our team doesn't let that happen to each other" I responded "Oh.....where did you hear that".....his reply "Mike Milbury says it on TV all the time.....you gotta protect your teammates"

My son has some red ass.......

I would make sure your son doesn't see the video of when Milbury went into the crowd and beat the guy with his own shoe....You might want to wait a few years.

Probably right. For some reason I can't make a 2015 roster on capgeek so I'm having a little trouble conceptualizing it

Note to Phil - I don't remember if you were around for the femur story by rtang yesterday. If not, I highly recommend going back and checking it out. Gold.

Saw they are looking to further marginalize the shootout. Just had this thought: what if teams were punished for going to a shootout? Win in Reg or OT is 2 pts. Win in SO is 1 pt. No points for losers. Would certainly deter teams from playing to OT or SO. Might not be fair to only give 1 pt though. Still gives the chance to see some horse on the ice every once in a while and finality of no ties.

Apparently they're looking at either:

10 minutes of 4 X 4, or
5 minutes of 4 X 4 and 5 minutes of 3 X 3

Either presumably followed by a shootout.

I would prefer 10 minutes of 4 X 4 - I think 3 X 3 would be too gimicky; also, too much time chasing pucks - too easy to clear pucks out of your end.

They should also go to 3-2-1-0 for points coming out of a game if they still want to reward a team for getting past regulation: 3 for a regulation win, 2 for an OT / SO win, 1 for an OT / SO loss, 0 for a regulation loss.

i think it would be a hoot to do what they do in some kids leagues in Canada. Start at 4 on 4, then 3 on 3 and then 2 on 2 and if still tied with one minute to go, 1 on 1 (with the goalies in of course).

In 1 on 1, if his kid wins the faceoff and retieves the puck the smart coach then pulls his goalie and goes for the jugular.

On a call one time we were sent to an apartment for a 30 year old male who could not get out of bed. Turns out he was a body builder being entertained by two lovely blondes. Apparently at that special moment he clinched so bad that he broke both his Femurs because of his huge quads, etc. We had to call Flight For Life and the two women had gone hysterical.
