Chances are TT will be on the team in 15/16 with a cap hit of $925,000. Shaw will be signed that season for $2.0 million but will likely be in line for another raise.
I hope your numbers for Saad and Kruger are accurate, I could see Saad being on his 2 year "bridge" contract at that time. The Morin/Pirri contracts would be interesting. If they get re-signed my guess is they get 1 year deals they be up for raises in 15/16.
Another wild card is LeBlanc, he has a one way deal in 14/15 so I'm sure he'll be given a chance to make the team. He could factor into the cap situation in 15/16. - DarthKane
I wouldn't be shocked if neither Pirri or Morin are members of the Hawks at that point. TT, Denault, maybe McNeil (sp?), Nordstrom, or a young wild card will bump them I hope. And they will be on the ELC. If so, I think they will keep Oduya if he keeps playing like he has recently. Lots of moving parts that long from now, especially on the fringes of the roster - the main players are locked in (assuming the boys re-sign). |

There's still a ton of 'ifs" involved with this. It will be interesting as to how it all shakes out. |

I was really trying to show that they could resign the twins - even at $9 MM - without decimating the team. |

Thank you, Eli. One of these days I (and a couple friends) are going to venture up to The Rock for a game. Would love to buy you a cold one of your choice. |

Remember in 2010 we kept coming at the Canucks, kept rolling lines and they had problems handling the speed. Well, handling Big Buff too.
I am curious how many newcomers are spread out on the forward lines, more on the third and fourth lines. Looks like newcomers for those bottom lines will have as much or more speed than the Smith, Morin, Pirri group. While Leblanc is slower as well, imagine TT, Nordstrom, Danault with Shaw and Krueger. Maybe McNeill or younger Broadhurst will be pushing for work as well. When you are able to sprinkle in some veterans on the bottom lines, possibility is for a nice blend of skill, speed, and a bit of physicality and youth up and down the lines. Hungry players too if you are able to play a couple of rookies or relatively new pro's each year.
Like has been said, we shall see how it all plays out. |

Decent depth defenseman when healthy. Unfortunately, body made of fine porcelain. - MartiniMan
Right. The best way to keep him healthy is to have him stay in the pressbox. Which is probably the plan unless someone else gets hurt. |

Steen is good. Never really had a very good scoring year despite being a fast and talented player.
With the violent nature of the game, who knows what his gp and goals will be this season.
But some could remember something like a .342 BA for cubs' G Beckert in his career year. Help me on the stat's if you sort of recall, StLouis Braves or anyone who might know.
Couple years ago I pressed RealWiz on Versteeg career year possibility. Playing a lot on top line with Fleischman, was near 20 goals around mid season. What might he finish with. Oh, if I have to say, I will guess 28, Wiz finally said.
What happened. Injury. He finished not to close, barely into the 20 goal range I seem to recall. So with Steen let us hope he can have a career year, as long as he lights the lamp against everyone but us. |

Lilies is out for an extended period- of - time with inj. This is his replacement. Hitchcock likes a puck mover on bottom pair; he preferred Kris Russell over Nikitin given the make up of his roster a couple years ago. Of course I Cole never has come on to win a job for them, hence Russell, then Liles on bottom pair. But even Cole can skate, albeit not as offensively inclined as the other two.
Even after Bowmeester signed on this season, and Russell left, Hitch brought in Liles.
In the Western Conf there is recognition for puck moving good skating teams - although LA sort of screws that logic up a tad. No surprise Hitch grabbed Calocavco so quick.
Edit: late thought after posting....Anaheim and SJ have become better skating teams this season. |

Lilies??? You mean Leopold, right? And we traded for him last year.
Hitchcock does like a guy that can quickly move the puck on D. Carlo is fine as a depth guy in this system as long as he is healthy. But that is a big qualifier for him. |
