This blog has been up for about 15 hours and has 77 posts. Thirty(approx) of them are about the NFL. We had two big games on the weekend and were handed our lunch. 46 comments after 2 big confrence losses are a drop in the bucket.
The reason I am saying this is because I find it is becoming like reading the Province Sports section. For a Hockey rumour site there are few rumours or little to discuss about the team.
It could be because Canucks are starting to fall back into the same scoring issues that they had for the last 2 1/2 years, and we are tired of beating that dead horse.
We have hit the 20 game mark and I think it is time to look at making adjustments. |

Agree, if Gillis is truly looking at this team as still a challenger for the cup then he needs to realize that they won't even make it out of the division as is. |

I wonder if MG really believes the Canucks are a challenger for the cup this year. They simply do not have the depth to win against teams like Chicago or LA in a 7 game series.

He definitely needs to make a trade, preferably one that he wins this time |

I realize you are trolling, but any team that makes the playoffs can win a 7 game series. This team is coached better, and if role players step up at the right time, and the Sedins play the way they can, Luongo plays well. this team can definitely beat Chicago or LA. |

2014 first round pick to Jersey for Jagr? I know it's a one year deal but, Jagr is a big body that's STILL producing points and New Jersey doesn't have a first next year.

Burrows Santorelli Jagr

How am I trolling at all? I'm a Canucks fan and like the vast majorty of Canuck fans on this board tend to agree that the depth could be an issue. Especially if the Sedins are expected to play the minutes they have been playing lately for the entire season.
Why is it that as soon as someone on this board says anything which someone else may not agree with, they're a troll?

Not worth giving up a potential 5 year Canuck for an aging one year player |

I believe this may very well be their strategy. Jagr is always shopped to a contender at the deadline. Then he'll chase another one year deal to whomever will pay the most.
If Gillis is willing to give up that pick it would definitely be doable. |

Only if you believe it will put you in contention. Otherwise you're probably right. Not worth it. |

I'd agree with that. At this stage, I'd rather hold on to the first rounder - especially if this team wants to get younger. I don't see Jagr as the missing piece to put them over the top. He won't be back next year so you just end up burning a pick for nothing.

You'll need to do something. Sitting in 8th and the teams around you all have games in hand.
The biggest problem will be cap space. You only have (according to capgeek) room for a TDL AAV of 2.9 mill? Not much you can get for that. |

Throw jägr on the first line with the Sedins and you would see some magic or first pp unit. |

Sedin-Sedin-Jagr would be the slowest line in the history of hockey. |

Probably right but the control of the puck they would have it wouldn't matter. |
