Who sits when Downie is fit? Will he start on the 4th line, or maybe take Raffl's spot?

I disagree. Rosehill put up a big game yesterday. If anything he should be getting top 6 minutes

Pharmacy.

Currently up to my eyeballs in Biochem for my exam on Tuesday

- Giroux_Is_God

My better half is a pharmacist, does pharm oncology.
She just took the oncology Pharm. board exam, said it was very tough.
Tons of statistics.
Good luck G-is-G.

On a sad note, today is the 28th anniversary of the car wreck that ended Flyers' superstar goalie Pelle Lindbergh's life.

For those that haven't read it, I highly recommend a book about Lindbergh that a certain excellent writer we all love contributed to

It's a fantastic read about Pelle and his life. I encourage any Flyers fan to grab a copy.

nobody makes skate saves like that anymore. except maybe me.

i was at penn this morning for a pickup game, doing what i love most in this world, and i owe much of that pelle. the world is still a pooptier place without him.

Florida sends Jakob Markstrom to the AHL...kid has not played very well for them.

i'm a firm believer that oversized goalies are not the best kind.

Guess it's all Timmy Tom now?

Stupid move v2.0. I thought it was brainless when they signed Thomas as their starter. Markstrom is ready. They weren't going anywhere....let the kid play not some 40 year old

Good for her!

And thanks...I'll need it for Tuesday's exam....shouldn't be cramming for this but I am. That's what happens when you have 3 exams in 6 days, with 2 of those 6 days being the weekend

Unless, of course, you're hammar, who clearly would have not only the greatest mentor effect of any tender in the game today, because of his gold metal winning experience (he certainly knows what it takes to win...)- but he'd also simply outplay him for that starting gig.

It'd be a no brainer. Shame on the Cats

Sometimes I wish Bryz would shut his mouth sometimes.. So Philly has never had goalies? Hexy Bernie Pelle? What a tit.

if that article is accurate, he didn't say that, he said other people said that about philly after he signed her.

He's played quite well; he's learning more and more about maximizing his strengths and working around his limitations.
- bmeltzer

I see he is a plus 8 so far counting today (+2). is he going to be given a shot as a 5-6-7 on this team?

There were a few other issues, too.

Bob showed promise, but he was also inconsistent. He needed to develop, but was not waivers exempt, so he couldn't be sent to the AHL, without clearing waivers.

There were the KHL rumors, too, that he'd go back to Russia and play, and the Flyers would be stuck holding the bag.

And let's face it, Bob had a stellar half season for the Jackets. He still hasn't shown he can be a top level goalie over the course of a full season. I like his ability and work ethic, but he's not on the level of a Lundqvist, Quick or other elite level guys yet.

- Jsaquella

quick hasn't had a great year this year either.
