I just cant stand the love affair for all the Staal. I think every single one of them is overrated to the max. |

I don't get this guy at all. Nolan gets fired for not wanting to play Jeff Tambellini for half a season. Cappy gets a million chances while crushing the confidence of every talented prospect we have. When Nelson finishes the season 2-5-7 in 50 games played, I hope folks here will realize whose fault that is and not rip Nelson like they did Nino. |

If we lose to Columbus today Garth serisouly has to think about some more shakeups. Starting with coaching and a couple of our passengers |

Eric is the best of the bunch. Marc is a good shut down D. Jordan was beyond overrated but when it comes down to it you're right they are all overrated. Good for them they're getting paid. Carolina is paying 6 million for a third line center. |

Thank you for saying this. That shat would drive me crazy during the whole Nino debacle. Just take a look at that kid now who scored 1 goal in a season. Good job Cappy |

The Regin experiment needs to end, he doesn't kill penalties or put up points. Hes an extra body who does nothing, when we have guys like Nelson and Strome all capable of putting up points and playing center. Also does anyone on this team know how to win a faceoff? Anyone? |

I just think nelson was probably the best forward on the ice last game. Granted they all sucked but he was the only one working out there. How do you reason benching him over some worthless plug you have in Boulton? Even if Boulton scores 5 goals tonight it's an anomaly. There is no logic, rhyme or reason to any of this decision making. It honestly appears he's trying to lose and ruin these kids.

Great point UIF! I thought Ted had to go because he would not play the young talent? |

Over the last couple of years I have been excited about the prospect of Weight taking over as coach. Initially I thought he was going to be thrust into the position with no experience and was apprehensive. During the offseason I became really comfortable with the idea. Now I'm not so sure? He strikes me as such a company man at this point and I have a fear some of this stupidity may have rubbed off on him? I'm starting to believe we need someone who goes just enough against the grain not to get fired and hold his job to be successful. Following this plan if it is truly Snow's influence(which some of you have speculated)is a recipe for a losing team and more importantly destroys ANY prospects development.
It's hard to watch what Capuano is doing with these kids we have waited years to develop. Nelson demands trade coming soon guys. Book it. |

You would think a GM who drafted Nino and Nelson would not be happy with how Cappy is handling these prospects and do something about it? Snow is going to be judged on these prospects so he better start doing a better job in developing them. |

From the Blue Jackets blog;
“That was embarrassing hockey. Embarrassing hockey,” Richards said. “To me, that’s losing hockey the way we played. We got exactly what we deserved. Things have to change. I have to change. It took me — I don’t know how much time was left in the second period — to get a little upset on the bench, and the guys responded.
“So I guess the gloves have got to come off somewhat as far as things that we do. Obviously, I’ve got to push. I’ve got to challenge, because it’s not coming from within. Individuals aren’t challenged. They aren’t self-motivated. Our group, for whatever reason, we came out in the second period and we can’t play.”
This is what the Blue Jackets coach said when asked about their game against the Rangers which was a 4-2 loss. Accountability and an urgency to change. To challenge his players and MOTIVATE them(bolded section) which contrary to Aurthur Staple's belief(moron)is the job of the coach. I actually lost brain cells when one of you guys posted that piece of shat he wrote on who or what to blame and what to do for the recent Islander struggles.
This guy is taking responsibility and demanding his players do as well. After that listless half a$$ed effort we saw against the Canes Capuano said. "I thought we played well tonight"!?!?!?!?!?! WTF?!
This team better be prepared to play against the Jackets because judging from what I'm reading here the coach is ready and is going to do everything in his power to make sure his team is. Can we say the same for Capuano? |

That is what a coach is suppose to sound like. Too many Islanders will coast unless the coach is on their case. Staple is a clown and fits in perfectly as someone who will not rock the boat. |

Looks like the Jackets are on a five-game losing streak. So expect Howie to mention it seven times within the first three minutes of the game so he can tell us all 30 times in the second half of the third period that it'll be their first win in six games. |

It seems that way. Almost like they're trying to get Capuano fired? If that's their plan they must have forgot who their GM is? |

Or, "The blue jackets haven't scored a PP goal in three games"
*Jackets score immediately on PP after this is stated by Howie* |

I know by the rest of the NHL and I'm hoping the Brooklyn people. Garth does not seem to have the personality for TV work so he has to think of other NHL employement. It may be shocking but he will not be with the Isles forever. |
