For all the Moulson fan boys he was benched by his coach yesterday. Their are massive problems with this team and it has nothing to do with him - Dan Petriw
Dan, their two problems are with the defense and getting Tavares back on track. Snow should have worked on getting two defensivemen over the summer. I think that was a big mistake and he it's going to hurt them the whole season unless something changes.
In regard to Tavares, he seems to be in a bit of a rut. We all forget he is only 23 years old. He's a great player, he'll get out of it. I do think he had chemistry with Moulson and that is affected his play. Vanek and JT don't seem to mesh at this time like he did with Moulson. I would think it and hope it will change over time. If Vanek is out for a period of time I think its time to bring up Strome and put him with JT. Aren't they friends, train together during the summer? Maybe a familiar face like Strome will get Tavares going again... |

I know I read it too. Just busting your horns. They were obviously mailing it in. Team will be better for this trade if he resigns. |

Long term yes. Short term I think it hurt them. PP going to crap isn't coincidence. We might see Strome if Vanek is out long term. |

He has 5 points in 6 games since the trade. He, Vanek and Okposo have combined for 15 points in those 6 games. People need to stop looking for problems where they don't exist to satisfy the Bromance Theory. If there's anything wrong with that line, it's that during the Carolina game two stars tried to be a bit too generous with the puck and looked to set each other up when they definitely should have been shooting more. That'll work itself out in a few games. |
