To paraphrase the great Andre "Moose"Dupont:
We score 4 goal
Claude off da shnide
Rosehill beat up dere chicken forward
and now da Moose (and I) drink beer!

It just feels good to be smiling for once at the end of a game!

I mean they beat Dubnyk and the team with a pretty sorry D, so I'm not going to get too excited, but it does feel nice to see them work hard and get rewarded.

why did the Oil trade Smid?? that doesn't compute at all

Not a great team, but a victory nonetheless. Just happy to see Giroux get one and hartnell pot another. Another solid game from mason and Coburn. Let's see if they can finally build off of a victory

Playoffs?? I'd be happy with just winning 2 or 3 in a row first. Do that a few times, then we can start to dream about the playoffs.

Watching masons interview. Loved that he went to the bench after g's goal. A solid young tender that's also a team guy? Let's hang onto him for a little while!

This is the best thing that could come out of this sorry season, if Mason turns into their goalie for real.

And why not?

If he can hang tough through the awful BS of the first 15 games then he has to be mentally strong. He seems to have the athleticism and size and talent to be the real deal.

Didn't get to watch was at great wolf lodge with family looks like good things happened. Has Fraud become Claude again, good goal or what? Not that it really matters must have felt great for him. I guess I won't be watching now until they lose again. I'm a superstitious person so if they won and I wasn't watching and they've been losing when I watch, well no more watching for me.

You have to beat teams like the oilers in order to move forward! I'll start to get excited once they can string more than 2 wins together in a row. The next game will be interesting to see if a weight has really been lifted from Girouxs shoulders.

Some of it was the OIlers being the Oilers but the Flyers made some nice places.
The Giroux goal was a legit, really good shot..
Sort of like the game 6 against the Pens goal..At the wing, cut to the middle a bit, rip a shot past goalie.

Exactly. I don't have concerns about him like I did before the season if he can rise to the occasion behind the play he been getting.

G was working hard, backchecking and fighting for pucks along the walls and behind the net all game. He had 3 or more really great scoring chances that didn't go, and he was getting very frustrated, even snapped his stick in half at the bench. But he kept working and got one. He could have had 2 or 3 goals easy I think.

Plus the Oil turn more pucks over at the blue line and neutral zone then even the Flyers do, which I didn't think was possible.
