Smid is brutal. If you watch his play, he's a 5/6 pairing at best. He gets caught with his pants down and his feet planted on too many goals against.

I love the Oiler fans coming on here bashing Smid. He may not be "good" in your system but he fits calgary really well. You have to remember hes a tough dman not a run and gun dman like he was used in Edmonton.

good deal for the flamers.....anything so that we can do to see less of butler and smith is a win in my opinion and the money doesn't even matter.

As far as a culture change... The good ole boys club has too much power in Edmonton. Katz would have to grow a set of balls to do something like that. I wonder if Rexall sells anything to enhance ball size?
