on paper, obviously stamkos is the best value deal. but the 2nd deal is the best deal to make in order to fix the holes and make the oilers an overall better team.

They'd regret trading Eberle for Simmonds big time IMO, even if Philly adds in a 2nd or something like that. Would set them back even further. I'd start questioning Mac-T as a GM big time.

I'd rather have Ryan Jones. Simmonds can't score 5on5 and is living off hype from a couple years ago. He hasn't been that good for a while. But he is willing to punch people so it makes him sucking less noticeable to most people when he's basically Ryan Jones

Agreed. If Tampa wanted to ditch Ryan Malone, I'd take his poopty contract for two more years and a much much lower asking price.

Why do I have "Two Princes" stuck in my head? Maybe because the Oilogosphere are major Spin Doctors on this one.

Smid may have become expendable because of the Ference acquisition, but the value we got out of this move wasn't great. Everyone's talking about it as if it's a genius move.

i think as the rangers, you have to do B. if yakupov reaches his potential and we don't make the deal, we'd be slapping ourselves in the face if we had that offer on the table at one point and decided to turn it down.
