our first is an overpay for Brayden Schenn, who hasn't really taken that next step and would be on his 3rd team.

Hemsky is an underpay for Luke Schenn by a considerable margin, however Luke Schenn isn't that great anyway.

I'd call it a mild win for them, but a trade that could help us somewhat in the go-ahead

No you can't. But Kassian plays 11 minutes where Simmonds is over 16.

But hey, Simmonds is a perennial 30 goal scorer the same way Mason Raymond and Rene Bourque are.

Swap B. Schenn for Couturier and I strongly consider it but that 1st is looking like Ekblad and I don't know if getting them will turn our fortunes around enough now or in the next 5 to 10 years to make it worth it. My opinion anyway.

Luke Schenn sucks. The fact that the entire population of Toronto didn't line up polish Burke's knob for that trade baffles me.

True, but the Flyers are in such shambles right now, they can't buy a goal. Giroux doesn't even have a goal yet, that to me shows how inept they are offensively. Haven't been able to watch many Nucks games but it appears they are pretty deep and getting secondary scoring which would yield better numbers for Kassian
