The difference between Dubnyk's .878 and .905 is like 8 goals or something. Think about 8 goals you'd want back this season, and how many wins that would get you.

Dubby will be fine. Its a bad stretch where the whole team sucks. He played fantastic last year and the team still sucked. This year he's playing average and the team looks terrible.

Guy was putting up better save percentages than most of the "solutions" I've seen people talk about for 2 years now.

We could have had Pacioretty instead of Riley Nash...the Plante pick sucked for us, but that was kind of dead zone in terms of players that came right after him.

To be honest the Bruins have had some pretty big misses in the 1st round over the years. They do well in the later rounds in terms of getting value out of the picks. Hamill, Colborne, Caron to name a few. Seguin and Hamilton were pretty much slam dunks.

Less than 70 games played, 18 career goals.

Thats a lot different than buying low on a plug who's been good at being bad for a while who's 7 years older.

He's basically on track to mirror Stamkos's production over his rookie season.

But Russians are KHL crybaby busts.

Hemsky, Hopkins, and Eberle have all had just as many uninspired, terrible defensively, head beating against a cement wall type games but they're getting a free pass for some reason.

Fair enough, Burrows is a natural left winger though, as is Higgins and Daniel. I always wondered how Hemsky would work with Kesler, but it's hard to move Kesler back to center with the success he's had at wing so far.


Hemsky would also give the second PP unit a boost in skill. I know he's soft as butter, but Booth is basically a lost cause right now(still a good possession player, but the team's low shooting percentage with him on the ice now looks more like reality than bad luck).

Yeah true, there's not many good options.

I just don't see Dubnyk being a long term solution any more like I thought he might be. Even if he could find NHL success, I don't think it'll be with the oil.
