Sure the Oilers could turn Eberle into Giroux. They just have to include Hall and Schultz.
Given Giroux's awful year, when he's on (which he hasn't been), he's a point-per-game player and one of the top-5 forwards in the league. The problem is, for the past 30 games or so, he hasn't been on. That said, the Flyers would be foolish to make a 1-for-1 trade, or even Eberle+random assets trade, and I'm a big Eberle fan.

Crosby, Malkin, Perry, Bergeron, Duschesne, Toews, Kane, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Parise, Stamkos, Ovechkin, Thornton, Marleau, Couture, Kopitar, D.Sedin, H.Sedin, Kesler....

Top 5 you say?

If Kulemin was going to sign for that, he'd be signing with the Leafs.

Also, how many teams have you seen recently that made that many off-season signings?

- Feeling Glucky?

Sorry, it should be closer to 2.75-3.25 million for Kuli, but I can't see him getting much more than that.

There's a reason I said I hate dreaming Florida did a couple seasons back, but not many beyond that.

Please please- dont let Eberle go... Eberle is MONEY FFS They just dont get much more clutch than that...
- saskoil21

He hasn't been in any clutch situations to be clutch... or do you mean clutch in game 60 when the Oilers are already eliminated and scoring a game winning goal in OT?

When he's on? Yes. Crosby, Malkin, Stammer and Datsyuk are the only four I'd put indefinitely ahead of G at the C position (which is what I'm pretty sure he was talking about).

Would you guys consider Dubinsky for Gagner if it were to be offered? I'd take it.
- MaximumBone

Absolutely. Arcobello takes Gagner's place as an offensive forward, Dubinksy solids up the defensive part and adds a lot of grit

You don't need to be in the playoffs to be clutch. Clutch just means you come up big when it matters, and to a rebuilding team, every win matters. So when he would often score a late go-ahead or game-tying goal, I'd say he was pretty clutch.

I do watch the Oilers- since the 80s which likely doesnt matter- but I appreciate players that are hockey smart, consistent and clutch... Hall IMO is lightnight fast, hockey dumb and oft injured and great players on the IR all the time do little for a team in the long run and that PPG BULLpoop quickly runs its course when as the player ages and continues to get hurt- before long you end up being like Hemsky in the long run... Hey I dont care- you definitely dont have to agree with it... In the end Leftcoaster is likely right in that if Nuge remains healthy and continues his play he will be the best player in the end and most valuable out of all anyway...

He's on pace for 58 points his rookie year, Gagners career year was 49.. Albeit he was on pace for 65 last year but still..

Yeah it's pretty amazing. Too bad this nice surprise isn't on the heels of a reversed record. I know I'm in the minority, but when the team is healthy and he can continue to bring smart and physical play, maybe he could center the fourth. His skill would be above most fourth liners.

But yeah we'll see how Arc continues to progress. He'll have to prove he has a shot soon though to back up what you're saying.
Nice to see him off the snide against Florida.

And he hasn't been doing that. He's not in juniors anymore. I don't see how he's more "clutch" than Hall is.

In 2011-12 he was pretty clutch. He scored something like 45-50% of his points in the last 5 minutes of periods.

Play him with Yak and Hall and his shot won't matter. He has had trouble finding the back of the net, but both of his goals were seeing eye goals.

Is this too much???

Eberle + Yak + Larsen for 1st rounder + Simmonds + Coburn + Schenn + Couturier????

That would be a huge shake up
